Welcome to our huge, classic 16th century colonial home in the heart of downtown Morelia, Michoacan. The decoration and style give tribute to local art and vibrant colors. Our suite prices are for 2 people, with $25usd more per person per night. Suite depends on your choice and availability.

We are honored to have earned these esteemed awards. Our team loves Morelia, Michoacan and Mexico...and it shows!

Children are welcome! Dogs are accepted in the Rosa Suite only, yet there are no animals living here.

Come stay at Casona Rosa and 'Live life in true Mexicana style!"

There are 5 unique suites to choose from, each with a private bathroom (all with TWO bedrooms or a bedroom and sitting room). TV, phones (local and LD), cd player, high-speed WiFi plus a guest computer are available to all guests in our Community Room.

In addition to the Community Room, we have many common areas for all guests to use: the outdoor gardened courtyard; the living room with extensive library; plus a dining area, where we serve breakfast, and for your personal use~as well as the communal kitchen.

I am available (no charge) for tour design, questions and tips re tour info to the monarca butterfly reserves and to local indigenous artisan workshops; restaurant advice and walking tours for Morelia's tourist sights.

In the heart of the Colonia Centro, the Historical Neighborhood of this beautiful Colonial UNESCO
World Heritage City. Galeana Ave. is THE residential street in the center 'El Centro' of Morelia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. EASY walking distance to ALL the tourist sights of this lovely colonial city. We are close to everything, yet the rooms are tucked away and this is a quiet place to stay.

Casona Rosa is in the heart of Morelia, walking distance from the Cathedral, shops, cafés, museums and more. The icing on our "pastel" - our taxi drivers and tour guides, Jesus and Geraldo, are the best around, and our guests rave about their services.

Great care was taken to create a warm and inviting environment at Casa Rosa with lush towels, premium bed linens, a fully equipped and stocked kitchen, as well as colorful local handcrafts, some for sale~~~plus all the comforts of home. Many reviews say we are "home away from home". We like that!

High speed WiFi works throughout all the Casona suites.
We have 2 outdoor courtyards with plenty of sitting room for sun and shade; a hammock; 2 dining rooms; a living room with library, plus a Community Room for lounging, reading, tv, phones and computer set up. All of this, plus 3 of the 5 suites are on the ground floor; and 2 suites are upstairs.

Morelia, Messico · Membro dal Ottobre 2010

I am a woman who fell in love with Mexico 10 years ago, found a place here in Morelia, and took it on the spot. Ever since then I've been reveling in the joys of Mexico, and I love sharing my experience of Mexico with others.

I think we have the best of Mexico right here in what they call
"the soul of Mexico"...the central highlands area. Morelia
is a fantastic colonial city, the most like Spain of any of the
colonial cities. The Centro Historico is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We are about 40 minutes away from the Lake Pátzcuaro area with all the indigenous villages that specialize in arts and crafts that have been carried on from generation to generation for hundreds of years.

Art, culture, history, heritage, food, flavors, weather, wonderful people.....we have it all here! Mi casa es su casa!
