Located in the heart of Pennsylvania's Fruit Belt, our farmette, "Apple Haven" is the ideal location for a personal or family getaways, or a stay while in the area. At an elevation of 975 feet above sea level, Apple Haven boasts 360 degree views of rolling hills, orchards, and the Appalachian Trail. For over 10 years, guests from around the world have enjoyed the exquisite hospitality provided by the Borowsky family.

Upon your arrival, we will show you your accommodations and allow you to settle in or visit nearby Gettysburg for dinner. The serene location is perfect for stargazing!

Location: Located in South Central Pennsylvania, in the heart of the historic Adams County "Fruit Belt." 15 minutes from historic Gettysburg, 20 minutes from Harrisburg, 90 minutes from Baltimore or Washington D.C., only 2 hours from Philadelphia and 3 hours from New York City.

Amenities: Guest suite features antique furniture (queen bed), private bath with jacuzzi jets. Wireless internet is available throughout the house. During the warmer months, visitors are welcome to be part of farm/garden activities. Our sheep and chickens are very friendly! We also have a very friendly dog and cat that roam the property. Your friendly hosts are also multi-lingual; languages include English, German, French, Polish, Italian, Russian, and Spanish.

Optional complimentary breakfast is offered in the morning and features our farm specialties such as cucumber mint smoothie, eggs laid by our hens, homemade whole wheat bread, our signature French toast, or apple pancakes or waffles , jams from our most recent pick of organic fruit (including jostaberry and blackcurrant), and more! We enjoy sharing the meal together with you, either in our dining room or, weather permitting, on the terrace and enjoying the phenomenal view.

Nearby: Horseback riding (requires an advance appointment with our neighbor's farm), Gettysburg National Military Park, Golf, Swimming, Hershey Park, Appalachian Trail, Health/Beauty Spas, Restaurants, Cinemas, Shopping, Antiquing, Sight Seeing (Gettysburg, Carlisle, Hanover, York) and Historic Churches. You also may take our bicycles onto a trail or to visit Gettysburg for a nominal fee.

We thoroughly clean the entire apartment before your visit.

Environmental Awareness: Laundry is washed with organic soap and dried by the sun and wind outdoors. The rooms are partially geothermally heated/cooled.

Your private guest room is located on the ground level. It has a private entrance (you can park right outside the door), a private bathroom, and includes a small dining area (with coffeemaker, microwave oven, mini-fridge).

We are in the heart of Pennsylvania's "fruit belt", surrounded by orchards, and a short drive to the center of historic Gettysburg, beautiful Amish Country, and bustling cities of Carlisle, York, and Harrisburg.
