Guest Reviews:

"My husband and I were in Portland to surprise our daughter when her boyfriend asked for her hand in marriage! We were lucky to have found this charming little apartment for the week. It was just as the photos indicated - very nicely appointed and sparkling clean. It was in a prime location with great shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. The separate entrance was nice so that we didn't feel like we were intruding on our host family. Since we have a "new family" in Portland, we will stay in this apartment in a heartbeat!"

"I had such a wonderful time staying in this apartment for the week. It was sparkling clean and had everything anyone could need while away from home. The neighborhood is perfect for walking. There are restaurants, shops, a library, coffee shops, bakeries, and a wonderful grocery store all within walking distance. I really hated to leave! The owner, Traci, is warm and more than accommodating!"

"At the last minute I decided to forgo staying at a hotel and my daughter found this lovely back of house apartment in the beautiful Sellwood neighborhood. It was perfect. Brand new accommodations in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood where you could walk down the block and enjoy friendly crowd-filled coffee houses, antique stores, restaurants or discover that special organic-find at the local market. The apartment itself was doll-like, very clean (which I am fastidious about!) and could easily have been a model for a pottery barn ad. Perfect in every way. It was filled with everything you would need from coffee pots to silver ware should you chose to eat in. Lots of windows-making my morning coffee (provided by Traci of course) I could open the kitchen window and treat myself to fresh air to start my day. One unique and surprise feature was the heater nestled in the bathroom-a nicety you don't see very often and the bedroom was perfect-large, spacious closets and very comfy. The living room had a fireplace that was both warm and completed the feel of the apartment even if you did have to turn it on with a clicker. I highly recommend staying at this perfect rental and do so for a longer stay-I had only two nights and could have easily stayed for a week! Traci thought of everything and even provided us with a list of places to go and eat in her cardboard binder-she was a splendid host. I give it five stars!"

"My wife and I much enjoyed our stay in this apartment, indeed it is probably the best appointed and most elegantly designed apartment in which we have spent time (a week plus) in many years of travel. It has the advantage of being one of the few 'guesthouses' in Sellwood, so very well located for visitors such as ourselves coming to spend time with family living in that delightful area of Portland. And where else can you see Mt Hood through the kitchen sink window?!"

Guests have full access to a private/separate apartment adjoining our home. It has a separate entry and is completely independent of our home. It is approximately 680 square feet and contains one bedroom, one bathroom, and an open living area with living room, kitchen and dining area.

Guests will be welcomed at arrival if possible. Otherwise we will make arrangements for access to the apartment. We love to interact at other times if desired, but strive to provide a private experience that isn't overwhelmed by us. Please consider our apartment your second home.

I know, we're biased. But we're staunch believers that Sellwood/Westmoreland is one of the best neighborhoods in America.

Located just three miles south of downtown Portland and over the Sellwood Bridge, the Sellwood/Westmoreland neighborhood is brimming with unique shops, delicious dining and fabulous adventures.

Approximately two miles in length and a mile wide, the teardrop-shaped area is rich in natural and recreational amenities. We have four public parks (Westmoreland, Sellwood, Sellwood Riverfront & Johnson Creek), hiking paths (Oaks Bottom Refuge), a public golf course, a bicycle/pedestrian-only thoroughfare (the Springwater Corridor) and the center of Portland's antique shopping.

With a wide variety of shopping and dining choices, our two historic neighborhoods dating from 1876, make it easy to enjoy everything that Sellwood/Westmoreland has to offer.

Our renowned Portland public transit system is Tri-Met. Detailed trip planning can be found at Additionally, Sellwood is an amazing walking neighborhood with extremely high Walk Scores. This ADU is located a block from coffee shops and restaurants and two blocks from Sellwood Park. Additionally, the famous Springwater Corridor connects our lovely neighborhood to downtown Portland and beyond, via a non-automobile route.

We strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible and will do everything in our power to make sure you have a wonderful time.

This place is great. Clean, nice, open. Loved the place itself. It is not too close to downtown but a quick uber nonetheless.

Our second stay at Traci and Ken's AirBNB apartment was even more fun than the first. It's wonderful to know your dwelling space is there, waiting (and so lovely), while you enjoy all the great amenities Portland, Oregon, has to offer! From the apartment, we enjoyed walking just a block to the east for restaurants and shops, and -- a couple of blocks to the west -- to the park and hiking on the Oaks Bottom Loop Hike. At the apartment, the washer/dryer, dishwasher, full fridge, climate control and Netflix were super great additions to the comfy bed and privacy. I don't know much else to say except - we sure hope to return! Thanks, Traci and Ken, for another great stay. -Joyce

A really nice place in a great location - walkable to stores, restaurants, park, and the river. Traci was very thorough with communication and made check-in and check-out very easy.

Traci was so very sweet and accommodating. Everything was taken care of and everything that we needed to know about the apartment was documented in a folder. Any additional questions we had, Traci was prompt and responsive.

We loved our Sellwood getaway. Traci and her husband were both great - highly responsive and helpful when we had questions. The place is sparkling clean with a well-equipped kitchen, great shower and comfy bed. It's private, as it is separate from the main house, on a quiet street but just 1/2 block from the charming main street of Sellwood full of fun shops and restaurants. The park is in the other direction. We just missed having a coffee table to set a beverage while talking or reading.

Risposta di Traci:
Thanks so much for the feedback, we always love to hear our guests suggestions, and we try to incorporate them whenever possible. We would love to add a coffee table, but because the couch doubles as a second bed, there's no where to put a coffee table when the hide a bed is in use. We're working on getting that figured out. We've discussed changing out one of the rocking chairs for an club chair so will give that some more thought. There's currently a piece of art at the frame shop for the living room, I'll be picking it up next week. I'm sorry it wasn't ready for your stay! A dimmer on the overhead light is a great idea, because of the cord/plug situation being a trip hazard, we can't really have a reading light next to the couch. Thanks again for your suggestions!

My experience staying at Traci's apartment was exceptional on two levels. One, as a host she was quick to respond, extremely accommodating to my last minute needs and a super friendly down to earth person. Two, the apartment exceeded my expectations. It was clean, functional with fabulous energy. The neighborhood is one of my favorites in Portland. If your not familiar with Sellwood you would be pleasantly surprised staying here. I kick myself for not staying longer!

Our stay at Traci's apartment couldn't have been better and I do not exaggerate. The apartment itself is lovely. It feels fresh and new. It is very clean, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Traci and Ken have gone the extra mile in providing lovely linens, attractive comfortable furniture and modern appliances in anticipation of their guests every need. I met Traci briefly the day after we arrived. She was warm and inviting. I came away feeling like she really did want us to be happy. The apartment is centrally located in the heart of Sellwood, in a neighborhood that is filled with craftsman homes, near a beautiful green belt in one direction and only a block from shopping and restaurants in the other direction. It is a very safe area. We arrived late the first night. Getting into the apartment was easy. They have a neat locking system on the front door that doesn't require the use of any keys. Traci had sent us a 'manual' and a video prior to arriving that answered all my questions about staying there. It was just a great time in a great place. We would love to stay there again the next time we're in Portland. If you read through all the reviews, you'll see they all say the same thing....Traci's place is just great!

We're a family of native Oregonians with two rescue pups and a Lynx Point Siamese. When we're not working, our favorite activities include traveling, whitewater rafting, renovating old homes, restoring the family’s farmhouse in the country, and trying as many new restaurants as is physically possible. After 15+ years in the neighborhood, we were lucky enough to be able to build our dream home in our dream location, and included an apartment to be able to share our love of Sellwood with others.
