I work in the Hospitality industry so my hours vary at times, but I am always an e-mail or phone call away if there is a problem or should you need any recommendations, guidance or advice while in NYC.
I love jogging and biking, it will be a pleasure for me to direct you to areas where you can bike or jog in Brooklyn. There is a bike shop one block away from the house where you can rent bikes. Bike lanes are all around the city.
As a Park Slope native, I can honestly tell you that there is an endless buzz about this hip, trendy and family oriented neighborhood.
What I find most enjoyable is the diversity of the neighborhood. There are a lot of restaurants, retail stores, banks, small cafés, food markets, organic foods in this gem of a neighborhood. If you are a foodie this is the place for you. There's a farmer's market on (email hidden) Grand Army Plaza and Sundays on 5th Avenue and 4th Street.
Must Do Culturally:
-Prospect Park (3 blocks away)
-Brooklyn Museum (10min or less in taxi)
-Grand Army Plaza / Brooklyn Library (8min away in Taxi)
- Barclays Center (walking distance)
Must do Restaurants:
- Talde (4-5 min walk) (website hidden)
- Al di la (10-12 min walk) (website hidden)
- Song (7min walk) Thai Food
- Side Car (3min walk) (website hidden)
- Rosewater ( 10 min. walk) (website hidden)
-V-Spot- Vegetarian/Vegan dining (15 min. walk) (website hidden)
There are plenty of great restaurants in the area but these are my go to and probably my favorites.
A leisurely walk along 5th, 6th, or 7th avenue will really showcase what make this a vibrant, innovative and energetic neighborhood. This is a great place to live and play. From this location you can visit adjacent neighborhoods or simply shoot over to Manhattan, a few subway stops on the F or R train. If you're adventuresome, you can walk to the Brooklyn Bridge and be in the financial district or Canal Street in 40 minutes.
Un giro nei dintorni
The neighborhood is well-served by the New York City Subway. 4- simple blocks to the Subway. The F, R,G line are very close to the house.
There is off street parking. A cab ride from JFK or LGA airport is 30 minutes.
The F Train in 5-stops takes you in to Manhattan.
(8-10min lower Manhattan/ Financial District)
(15- 17min to SOHO / Greenwich)
(25 -30min to Midtown/Times Square Area)
The (F) Train is terrific because of its strategic route in Manhattan & Brooklyn
Taxis are readily available in Park slope if you choose.
There is a bike shop one block away from the house where you can rent bikes . Bike lanes all around the city.
