Feel at home, a full kitchen, comfortable bed (homemade quilt) and my adorable 2 cats (no care required, petting appreciated PURR). 1 room AC and a couple of fans keep it comfortable. I like a clean home but not a neat freak. Free street parking, 3 blocks to train that takes 15 min.downtown. Try the nbhd park and restaurants, Laguanita's brewry (good food & music). Its a safe, friendly nbhd (I and many nbrs here over 20 years), but guests should be comfortable with urban nbhds.

Cindy was very accommodating and we had a pleasant time staying at her house. She communicated everything we needed to know, and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Parking wasn't too far away, and we were able to drive part-way to a Spot Hero parking spot and either walk to our Chicago activities or take public transportation. We didn't attempt to take any public transportation or walk from the house, as that may have been too far. The cats loved us, and if you are a cat person, this can be an opportunity to make 2 new furry friends. They do need a little attention. Thanks again! Scott & Landon

Cindy was very friendly and great at being quick with responding to messages. The cats were a bonus for me, but not for my husband, as they kept us up a little at night when we didn't want to close the door due to the warm nights and lack of AC. The place was a great value, and I'm glad we got the entire place to ourselves, but you definitely have to be okay with cats and their normal antics. Only real negative for me was that the shower had a little trouble draining correctly, but I let Cindy know so hopefully it's better for the next guests. Thanks for the great stay, and for sharing your home with us! :)

I did not meet the host but she left a nice snack and note for me when I arrived. The description was accurate, I always found street parking although the neighborhood is sketchy at night. Beware of the two cats who fight a lot.

Cindy left us a note with all the information we needed. Definitely check out Lagunitas Brewery literally around the corner! Free street parking near the apartment and chocolates left on the pillow! Walking distance to pink line which was extremely convenient although can feel slightly unsafe on the poorly lit walk home if returning after dark.

We had the pleasure of staying at Cindy's home this past weekend. Although we weren't in the house too much, it was a very nice cozy place to rest before the next day's afventures. The very playful kitty even kept us company every morning and evening. The neighborhood was relatively quiet yet very close to downtown and other parts of Chicago so we didn't have to drive too far to get home at night. Until next time! Thanks, Cindy!

I love Chicago and I love exploring the variety of cultures and neighborhoods, the architecture, the history, the restaurants, (you get the message). One of my heroines is Jane Addams, the first woman to receive the Noble Peace Prize (and the settlement home she started is near my home). I like to share tips, info for exploring and having fun in Chicago on a budget. I'm glad to share my other apartment for fellow travelers, making people feel at home.

I have lived in my neighborhood for many years, own and live in my 2 flat that was built at the turn of the century. I garden and like to be "green" with my home such as composting. I work with nonprofit organizations (aka NGO's) that support underserved communities. I have done international travel (Mexico, western Europe, China, Vietnam) as well as enjoying U.S. travel. For me, travel has been a way to learn and to exchange, a way to improve the world.
