Petra's house is beautiful and she and Felix are wonderful caring hosts, they made a special effort to get us visitor passes since the existing ones were outdated, we were grateful and made good use of these passes. The communication was also very good, both Petra & Felix were available when needed. There are three points to be aware of concerning the house itself: Privacy, August heat and Location. (1) Privacy: Many of the windows in the house do not have blinds, including the two story high windows in the dining room and the kitchen, bathrooms & staircase. I haven't seen previous guests mention this but for my wife & I we felt uncomfortable especially since the house is surrounded by other houses and the street is the same height as the second floor. (2) August heat: The huge two-story glass wall must be perfect almost all year round but in August it turns the house into a furnace unless you open windows to circulate the air. But since August also brings bees & flies then we didnt open the windows and just kept away from the house until the sun set at around 18:00. (3) The location is perfect if you dont have a car, it's a 5 minute walk to the train that takes you to the city downtown where you can take other trains to almost anywhere. But, if you do have a car you need to drive about 20min up & down the mountain in very narrow winding streets, the drive itself is exciting for a tourist because Innsbruck itself is beautiful.

Risposta di Petra:
I like to thank Travel for being my guest but I’m sorry that Travel did not quiet enjoy his stay. However I feel the need to react on some of his comments . First of all, the house was designed to be open and free and they are functionally to this design. The large window to the terrace is designed this way to let a lot of light come into the house, warm the house in winter but keep it cool in summer and have a free view on the surrounding mountains. Also the small windows in the stairway and bathroom are designed in this way so you can have a great view towards the mountain tops. On the pictures on this site it is visible that the large open window to the terrace (which is surrounded by a wall and full grown plants) and the windows in the kitchen (which is surrounded by trees and bushes), have no curtains or blinds. The windows in the stairways are that small that looking in from the outside is almost impossible. I think my guest had an obsessive need for privacy (blinding all the windows and even the gallery inside the house with toilet paper) and they should have asked about their particular need for blind or curtains in their extended questionnaire. In the design of the house there is also thought of keeping it cool in summer by opening windows and thus creating and circulation of cool air. But due to the fact that they blinded all the windows with toilet paper and didn’t open any window, they made it into a furnace. The large window has 2 open doors to the terrace and in summer on sunny days we’ve always kept them open and haven’t had any problems with heat.In summer it is normal to have some bees or flies . For their last comment, from the city to the house it’s a 10-15 minute drive up the mountain and like all mountain roads it’s a winding road. How else could you get up the mountain with a car. Unlike other mountain roads this road isn’t small at all, it’s wide enough for two city busses to pass each other on the road. And my guests are right, you have an excellent view over Innsbruck going up and down the mountain.

Petra 'a house is a very beautiful and spacious villa on the mountain. It has been the best house I've rented on Airbnb! Before and during our stay, Petra and her son Felix always gave us much help and very detailed information we need! Thank you,Petra and Felix! I will strongly recommend your house to all the travelers to Innsbruck, and I do hope I will have the chance to go back to Innsbruck and live in your house again.

Great place, just as advertised and pictured. Even though it was rainy, we enjoyed a ride up the nordkette, downtown Innsbruck and the castles and nice towns in southern Germany. We never used public transportation, but passed the bus going up and down the hill so it seems convenient and frequent.

I am Austrian and felt in love with the Netherlands.
I love to have two homes which are very different one has mountains and snow and the other has the sea and the beach.
I spend a lot of my time in the Netherlands. My children are grown up already and to not live at home any longer. The house in Innsbruck is our meeting point. The times between i am happy to be able to share this lovely place with you.
