We arrived to the apartment later than planned due to high traffic both in Slovenia and Croatia. Zvonimir's mom (just my guess, did not ask) welcomed us warmly, even offered us some beverages and crackers after the long journey. She (or they, there were two ladies) did not really speak English but we got along just fine - tere are more similarities in our languages than I would have thought (Croatian vs. Slovak/Czech). The apartment is just as described, located in the bay, with a beautiful view into it. The beach is not as perfect, though. There's minimum shades to hide in, considering the amount of people/families present, so if you can, bring your own umbrellas on stands. The water is beautifully clean and refreshing, the temperature was never too cold - just fine! What we did not like though were loads of sea urchins present - I suppose this has to do something with the season, which turned out to be easily solved by purchasing some shoes you can use in the water nearby, in Novalja. Be careful wearing them too, though, since the larger urchins can still pierce through the sole. My most recommended beach for families would be the Ćista plaźa, halfway between Novalja and the town of Pag. Zrće was nice, too, although it's a beach equipped rather for young people, especially for party people - the beach is in front of 4 clubs, which are close enough one to the other, too. There is only one place to eat in Potoćnica, a bistro/bar called MacAdams, which is ~5 minutes of slow walk up the hill from the apartment. The service is average, the food depends on what you get - you can't go wrong with fish, other meals were poor to satisfactory. Prices are way high, though. This applies to the rest of the island, too, except one average priced place with very nice staff at Ćista plaźa, called Kod Crnog. Ate at many places while we were there, prices did never meet the served meals' quality and neither of the services provided (compared to what I'm used to back home, in Prague - where I'm usually visiting higher-mid to high priced restaurants).
