Our guests enjoy the natural abundance and rich history of the Charente region which surrounds our 300 year old, sensitively restored home. Guest accommodation is private and exceptionally spacious with numerous places of interest within easy reach.
Our exceptionally large guest bedroom comfortably accommodates a family of four in two double beds. There is additional accommodation in an adjoining second bedroom with three single beds, which can be made available in addition to the main guest room, at additional charge.
Guests have exclusive use of a spacious lounge/dining room where breakfast is served and comfortable sofas and chairs are available. A private, modern shower room is for guests' sole use. Guests are welcome to enjoy our outside eating area and our garden with seating areas, including a popular, tranquil spot by the stream.
Interazione con gli ospiti
We are delighted to accommodate our guests' preferences. We can offer complete privacy or shared cooked breakfast and evening meals. If desired, we can also offer concierge services to guide guests around the local area and help with any language challenges.
Altre cose da evidenziare
Our price for the room includes bed and continental breakfast. If you would like a cooked breakfast, evening meal, packed lunch or concierge services, these can all be arranged with appropriate notice. There is an additional room available for hire if you require more space. We can also arrange massages, hairdressing and beauty treatments if sufficient notice is given.
We ask that guests behave mindfully and peacefully, respecting the tranquillity of our home and the hamlet. We already have three cats and two dogs and hence prefer that guests do not bring pets with them. There are no facilities for smokers in the property.
I am a writer who draws inspiration from my beautiful, tranquil surroundings here in the Charentais countryside, enjoying organic, local produce, good wine and thoughtful company.
Years ago, I discarded the corporate grind for simplicity and eschewed TV in favour of the radio; but do I still enjoy a good film on DVD. The film Charlotte Grey, which I saw recently, is based upon historical events in the area.
