This is a warm (although larger than you would expect!) stone quarryman's cottage in the village of Trefor on the Llyn Peninsula. Set in a row of terraced cottages close to a beach, the cottage has a babbling stream at the bottom of the front garden as well as its own parking area. Although traditional, the cottage also has a 'modern feel' and it is the perfect location for couples or families wanting to enjoy local walks and wildlife or for those who just want to get away from it all.

Lo spazio
Brand new modern bathroom! The cottage benefits from central heating (although not always necessary with the log burner!) as well as mod cons including a dishwasher, washing/machine dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, fibre wifi, TV with DVD as well as a second toilet in addition to the new large family bathroom with a 'double' shower head including a large powerful 'drench' head. Two sofas surround the log burner and the open plan living area has a family dining table. There is also a second toilet and hand-basin next to the bathroom.

The beds in the bedrooms have been configured to provide maximum flexibility for families or couples. The front bedroom has a good quality zip and link bed; so it can either be a superking or two singles. The second bedroom has two single beds but these can also be linked to create a king size double.

There is a large private garden at the front of the property that leads down to the stream. As the pictures show the property is in a row of terraces and there is a small communal walkway (about 3 ft across ) between the front door and the front gate of the private garden. There is also a rear yard with sitting out space that get lovely sun in the afternoon.

It is ideally placed for exploring Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula with plenty of walking on its doorstep. Climb up to the old quarry on Yr Eifl for panoramic views towards Anglesey. Or follow the coastal path which continues around the Peninsula. The local village of Clynnog Fawr has an impressive church St.Beuno which was used by pilgrims travelling to Bardsey Island.

One well-behaved dog welcome -please enquire (We ask that they do not sleep on the sofas or beds). Fibre WIFI is available.. but as is often the case in rural settings.. mobile reception can be limited indoors.. but it all adds to the charm!!

Dove ti troverai

Trefor, Galles, Regno Unito

The village of TREFOR is to be found on the Llyn Peninsula close to Caernarfon and Pwllhelli. Trefor developed thanks to the local granite quarry. Its small harbour became extremely busy in the days when local granite from the Eifl Quarry was shipped to all over Europe. The beach, a mix of sand and pebbles, is mostly sheltered. Nowadays, the inner harbour is mostly occupied by pleasure boats. It is a popular dive site for those interested in SCUBA diving. Nestling at the foot of Yr Eifl (worth the walk to the summit for a spectacular view of Nant Gwrtheyrn) the village of Trefor is popular with families, diving, watersports and fishing enthusiasts and it provides you with an ideal base for exploring the Peninsula.

The village itself has a small grocery store and a sub post-office. Buses run from Trefor into Pwllheli and Caernarfon. The beach is just 5 minutes walk from the house. Close by, at CLYNNOG FAWR, there is the ancient Church of St Beuno, a major Llyn landmark on the Pilgrims Route to Bardsey Island. Also nearby at MORFA NEFYN a popular seaside resort, there is a unique 26 hole golf course with a view of the sea from every tee.
