Keith and Sarah's cottage was adorable. It would be perfect for two people. I think it is overestimated that it sleeps 3. As I am 5'2" and 105 lbs, anyone much bigger than myself would struggle with the couch as a sleeping place.
Upon arrival they were out of town. However, they did communicate perfectly to let us in the house. One surprise is that they also have full time renters in their basement. While they were very nice, it was never mentioned and quite a shock to have two additional people on the property, we had no clue about. My partner is a veteran and security is important to her. Not knowing about the extra tenants was not helpful for her PTSD and her constant struggle to feel safe.
We never met Sarah, but definitely met Keith when my partner set off the smoke alarm on our final night. He was very kind about it and handled it with ease. We were grateful for that.
The final incident that I am not too excited about was a couple of the cheap glasses breaking. My dog got them with her tail (should be part of pet fee I paid). However, I did buy them new ones as that's the right thing to do. Unfortunately, in our rush to leave, my girlfriend packed them with everything else. I received a somewhat threatening text (or at least I thought it was) from them about replacing the broken glasses, so they didn't have to do it through this site. Absolutely, I had already bought them and put them in the mail instantly. I still felt as if it were super petty after paying $500 to stay there, including a ten dollar a day pet fee that more than covered the inexpensive, easily breakable glasses.
As a whole, they were gone during our stay. But kind while they were home. They left us to ourselves and for the most part, communicated effectively. Can't ask for too much more, I suppose
