- High speed Internet is everywhere, but not in this house. The Internet speed in this house was just super slow (just like 56K speed Internet we used 20 years ago). If you have urgent work that needs the use of the Internet to deal with, you should NOT stay in this house. However, after I stayed in the house for few days, Dave changed a better router and the problem was solved. - In one evening, the other housemate and I saw a mouse running around in the house. Lucky that we caught it (and we needed to kill it), or otherwise the mouse might crawl on our face when we slept. It was quite terrible. I had never stay in a place where there were mouse inside. - One day at 5 a.m. some guys were yelling right outside the house. They woke me up, and lucky that they stopped and went away 10 minutes later. It was 5 a.m.!! - On another day I saw from the windows of my room that there was an ambulance and a police car outside the house. I did not know what happened. The police and ambulance left about 30 minutes later (I have some pictures of it if you want to share). It was just in the middle of the day and it was supposed to be safer, but not! - I saw at least 4 times that some random people yelled on the street outside the house. I did not feel safe staying here. - There were only a few small fast food restaurants around the area. If you need to find more restaurants, you need to go to Fells Point, and it will take you about 25 to 30 minutes to walk there. Or you can take the subway from “Johns Hopkins” stop (10 minutes walking from the house) to the next one or two stops (Shot Tower stop and Charles Center stop); many more restaurants around those two areas. - The house has no TV; not a big deal though. - To be fair, I should say that Dave got back very quickly every time when I told him the problems. But I don’t think you want to stay in a place where you keep seeing problems and keep getting the owner to come over the next days to fix them. - I stayed for 6 weeks. Perhaps you don’t think the issues are big deals if you stay only for 1 or 2 days. You can try, and you can experience for yourself.

Risposta di Dave:
Unfortunately, this was a disgruntled guest who was looking to get out of his reservation early and when that was not granted, he has decided to malign our home via this nasty review. Not sure if he thought he was booking a room in Baltimore City or in the quiet countryside, but he obviously did not read the property description/location. We did have a modem malfunction during his stay, which we replaced within a day or two and actually upgraded to a faster one. Can't please everyone of course, but this gentleman was a cut above.

It's not worth repeating what others have said. For my purpose of my courses at Hopkins Bloomberg School Public Health, it made sense to stay nearby-and it's too bad that the surrounding neighborhood is disadvantaged and plagued with the ills of urban living. Once in the house- I was very comfortable. The host was responsive and accommodating. Access to healthy food options outside of the school are limited, so prepare for that if you are staying awhile.

Very basic but clean accommodations perfectly located to JHU hospital. We could get from The apartment to the operation check in in 6 minutes door to door- which when you have a 6 am check in time is much appreciated. Comfy bed. there was a surprising amount of street / pedestrian noise the second night (a Monday) as well as the following morning. But all in all a great value.

Very convenient for Johns Hopkins. $7 uber ride to Inner Harbor. 10 min. walk to Charm City bus route. Clean row home. Comparable to a boarding house. 3 bedrooms that guests stay in by unlocking doors with a key in a keybox.

From the outside: Old Federal. Open the door and step in: Voila! The house has been completely modernized. Light and Heat are excellent. Kitchen is modern and host has generously made available utensils pots and pans, plates and drink vessels. Our bedroom was very comfortable. How nice to find the shower with just a 5-inch curb to step over. Plenty of hot water. We used Uber to get around. Average wait time is 3 minutes. Close to all Baltimore attractions.

Dave's place was perfect. I had a large spacious room with my own bathroom, which was very convenient, and I had a very comfortable stay. The common areas including kitchen were also very clean and nice. Location was convenient for walking to Johns Hopkins hospital, but Uber was also very easy to use. I would definitely stay here again.
