Two 10x20 tents, a RV, gazebos and hammocks on three terrace levels perched hillside along 300+ foot cascading waterfall offering outdoor tub/shower, soothing sounds and secret sandy beach on 141 private acres of beautiful nature with overwhelmingly peaceful views of vineyards, foothills, abundant wildlife and amazing sunsets.

Would you like to enjoy a little slice of "Glamping" heaven as you experience the good life in nature?

Here you'll find two 10x20 cabin tents, each on its own terrace level along the waterfall, one up top and one in the middle. Each has adjustable queen-sized air mattress with high quality linens and comfy bedding. Tents are spacious with level, padded floors. Below is an RV on lower terrace level, sitting above heli-pad. RV has mini kitchen, small bathroom with shower and third bedroom with full size memory foam mattress. There is generator power at all three levels with decent to good cell service as you go up the mountainside.

The first tent on the middle level can be used for lounging, yoga, Netflix on flatscreen TV, whatever you like... as it has a gazebo beside it, amazing views ahead and sandy beach behind it leading to outdoor bathtub and shower on bricks. Enjoy unlimited on-demand hot water from new well on solar pump, gravity fed fresh to you to bathe and relax in. You'll be surrounded by perfect sand for bare feet and laying out to soak up sunshine. Your own private beach is framed by big native rocks, stone cobbles and rock walls forming a heart-shaped waterfall cold plunge swim spot for you to enjoy all to yourself...

The second lodge tent sits above it all as the master sleeping tent perched on the highest terrace in totally privacy above a larger upper secret swim spot - not yet in use, but already breathtaking. Hammock by the pool is wonderful. You'll sleep to the sounds of a soothing waterfall cascading hundreds of feet gently beside you.

You may benefit from the negative ions spending significant time directly alongside this waterfall, tucked away on the backside of 141 private acres full of trees, water, conifer forests, oak groves, lush meadows and a diversity of abundant wildlife.

This land has been in my family since 1852 when it was purchased by my great-great grandfather with gold he mined in the Sierras. I'm working to keep it in my family for generations to come. Very few human souls ever stepped foot on most of this private property for over 160 years, and it's now accessible to you as my guest.

This land is magical.

...And the "Glamping" possibilities are endless...

Booked this place for a group of 10 friends as part of a trip to some of the swimming holes in South Yuba River. Sonya was friendly, responsive and helpful throughout the booking process and so committed to making sure we had a great time. Even though the place is really only set-up for 8 ppl, she accommodated for our larger group and gave some great recommendations for things to bring for cooking and local spots where we could pick up food. Arriving at the site took a bit more "off roading" than advertised - the dirt roads leading to the campsite are rocky and quite steep so a 4x4 is probably required, not recommended - but understanding that Jessie and Sonya are just getting things off the ground so their warmth, hospitality and clear passion for the place made it all part of the adventure. Once we got settled in, we had a wonderful time. Took a refreshing dip in the waterfalls, grilled and prepared a wonderful dinner, chilled out on the hammock - all with an incredible view of the surrounding forests and wide open sky as our backdrop. In the morning, we had some technical challenges with the generator cutting out and the water not working, but again Jessie and Sonya responded in a pinch and were so apologetic that they ended up sending us to his aunt's diner for breakfast and picking up the tab. Jessie then told us that they've had nonstop business since last November when he first posted the site so he hasn't really had a chance to get back in and work on the land as much as he's liked - which explains a lot of the hiccups. It sounds like they have some amazing plans for the place though. The location has so much promise, and Jessie and Sonya are the quintessential hosts, so we absolutely look forward to staying here again after it's renovation.

first off, while being a little bit pricey for my cheap self, Jesse's place was fantastic and still a good value for a tremendous experience. The waterfall was nice and isolated and the whole place was exactly what i imagined it would be. This is probably not a place for everyone, but if you like what you see, i can say that it is definitely that and more! We had a bit of communication difficultites when first arriving, but Jesse and Sonya were extremely gracious hosts, and after arriving were determined to work out what we needed. With our concerns met and our satisfaction exceeded, my wife and i were more than happy to recommend this site and these hosts to everyone. they truly cared about our needs and greatly enjoyed sharing their little slice of paradise with us. The waterfall was breathtaking, and the lights at night were very romantic as well. My wife also demanded that i brag on how great the coffee maker and the provided coffee was. Jesse has great plans on expanding and making this place even greater, and i would love the opportunity to try coming back later to see his vision come to fruition. Great hosts, caring people, and a unforgettable paradise.

We had a wonderful time at this waterfall-centric space! Falling asleep next to the waterfall was a dream. We really enjoyed grilling and making food, and it was so nice to have a fridge while out in nature. This place was incredible for our large group of dogs, who were able to roam off leash with us nearby and explore so happily. Air mattresses were super comfy and we enjoyed the little hike up to the sunset spot. We just had some trouble checking in--not Sonya or Jesse's fault, but the property got messed up by guests the night before, so we had to wait several hours for check in, but the hosts compensated us money back. Jesse was accommodating in getting new chairs for our group and a gazebo so the people camping could have some shade during the day. Weather was perfect and it was very convenient to be down the road from the Shell where we could get additional ice for our coolers. Unfortunately, we had problems working the outdoor shower/tub and the water pump stopped working. Jesse sent someone to fix it a few hours later. In the meantime, we got water from the springs a few miles away for free! I'd say this property is indeed magical but felt in transition to us. The hosts were very very nice and accommodating with all of the issues we ran into. Jesse even brought us an extra air mattress and coffee cups :) Sonya was amazing in talking to me days leading up to it to accommodate our large group. Also...lots of yellow jackets in the summer! Be wary! Tiki torches around the property were very effective in keeping away any mosquitoes.

Jesse and Sonya were so great to work with. They were very easy to communicate with from the start and during our visit. We were two families traveling with 4 young children + dogs and had a lot of questions. They did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The spot is beautiful but can be very hot. That's why it was so great that they had canopies set up to keep the sun off -- and of course a dip in the swimming hole was refreshing, too. Having the large tent, mini fridge, bathroom in the RV, grill etc made "camping" with small children much easier than the alternative. The only thing I would say is that the campsite is built into a hill and has the water very close (both of which are very clear in the description) so if you have very young children a pack-n-play/crib is crucial for safety (and for the parents to enjoy themselves as well :). We'll definitely be back!

The location, view and general area was awesome. The water might be a bit tricky for some to get into, and has some plant leaf debris at the bottom but an awesome place to cool off and so magical as well. :) There is more than one waterfall! The upper swimming hole has waterfalls that are also amazing!!!! The waterfall is very loud by the way ;) is nice though. The large table has been turned into a nice bar made of the same wood with pleanty of room to hangout and relax =) No burn policy for summer but still lots of solar lights and tiki torches made it fun... The amount of water & water system is just fascinating! My boyfriend and I enjoyed it very very much and are very grateful for the experience at this amazing spot! maybe not as great for some older or non athletic folks, i say this because my mother had bit of difficulty walking between campsites. Other than that, we really loved it and hope to come back again! -Josh & Winter

I am an entrepreneur and business owner. My last "job" was in 1999... I was a Conductor for Union Pacific Railroad. Before that I was a United States Marine, and prior to that a carpenter, framer, roofer, laborer, busboy and dishwasher. Since going into business for myself Oct 1999, I've been involved in starting, leading and consulting many businesses. For over a decade I helped many thousands of people all over the US to solve their consumer financial problems.

For the past three years I've worked on my life dream... To "save the family ranch", or at least half of it, by buying and developing 141 acres in Penn Valley, CA originally purchased by my great great grandfather in 1852 with gold he mined out of the sierras. The piece of land has been in my family now for 163 years and would have been sold out of the family had I not taken the leap three years ago...

I work full time brushing, clearing, producing and selling firewood, reseeding, irrigating, managing conservation plans, contracts and projects with NRCS, growing grass for cattle, improving habitat for wildlife and beautifying the land. I am also in the process of subdividing the property to build and sell up to twelve custom homes on 1.5 acre estate parcels clustered on the hilltop nearest town with incredible sunset/vineyard/Pilot Peak/Coast Range views...

Thus securing the remaining 123+acres of the land in the family fo generations to come.

In the process I discovered "Glamping" - Glamorous Camping. I've fallen in love with Glamping! I've been Glamping on my property since summer 2014, improving things little by little and sharing with family and friends along the way. Everyone loves it!! September 2016 I accepted my first booking from AirBnB and had my first paid guests stay a night/day at my waterfall dream spot Glamp Site... and it was a total success!

I look forward to further developing my exclusive one-of-a-kind Glamping Resort on my special piece of land and sharing it with you. As you can see, it helps me continue to keep and improve the land for generations to come.

Thank you!

PS - You are welcome to come out and take a FREE TOUR of the property and see the waterfall and Glamping accommodations I have listed here on AirBnB. Just send me a message to arrange a time when you have about an hour to see it.
