Come stay at the Curtis House in Ashfield, MA. Mom's room is a bedroom that is filled with plants and books, my mother's paintings and big open windows. There is an attached bathroom. This room fits one or two people comfortably.
Our 19th-century home was built by George William Curtis, then the editor of Harpers Weekly. It’s a charming, sprawling old house that abuts the town green. Curtis and his wife, Anna Shaw, called this home in the summers.
Mom's Room is a bedroom filled with light and beautiful paintings, knick-knacks and plants. It features a full bed, big open windows and an attached bathroom with clawfoot tub.
The guest will have access to wireless internet and a landline for local calls. There is no cell service in Ashfield, so it is perfect for retreating and resting. Feel free to relax in and around the house. Sit on the porch, wander through the gardens, smell the flowers and visit the chickens!
Located in Ashfield, a classic, rural western Massachusetts town in the foothills of the Berkshires. We are right in the center of town, where you can find a lake, farmers market on Saturdays, Elmers Store (where you can eat meals and find groceries), Country Pie Pizza, hardware store (where you can find anything and everything), two golf courses, and four theater production companies (Double Edge, Ashfield Community Theater, Pauline Productions, and Pilgrim Theater). Ashfield is a half-hour drive from the Pioneer Valley towns of Northampton and Amherst, about 2 hours from Boston, and about 3 hours from New York City.

I am a gardener, florist, caterer and mother. My work revolves around creating special events for people on my property or around Pioneer Valley. I went to school for ceramics and glassblowing, and I always am in the middle of crafting or making something, which you will see once entering my home. My home is nestled in the hills of Western Mass.
