There are old school nice beds, singles and doubles. Very nice old home. An ideal spot for summer visitors. & Fall is so incredible in this area. Beach walks, sun sets, stars, Indian summer, amazing!!!

Sweet old antique house, sweet walk-able neighborhood, Conservation trails, swimming, The Ocean is near by, Country kitchen, big yard, Nice old school 1.5 bathrooms downstairs,Local food & coffee shops in town, real Cape Cod... Wonderful place to chill out...

Very mellow, (no big drama) Chess checkers, cards, wood-coal stove, great place to meditate & relax, great library, cool books... Walks are the best.

Peace and quiet, salt air, starlight, moonlight, the sound of the ocean, birds, salt ponds, walking trails, swimming, bicycling, walking, nice people, and much more.

I have Bicycles, and automobile, are the way out here. There is a bus system (in town) that can take you anywhere, but this is Cape Cod. We are not set up with neighborhood public transportation out here. Sorry

The lobster-men come in every day and you can buy lobsters from them on the beach. Also great local places to eat... The weather is so nice this time of year. Amazing nights... Beautiful stars, etc.

1846 Captains house is pretty clear words. I dust & clean regularly. Yes; really old... (Works in progress) Most people love it. Thanx

We had a wonderful stay at Penn's atmospheric, rustic 1840s home. The house is filled with family memories and well-loved objects. The home is always open (at least in summer) with the breeze cooling the upper-most floor in the evening. Most rooms lack locks. The shared bath had extra shampoo, soap, and towels. Penn is wonderful. He greeted us kindly, and he had lovely stories to share. He was also extremely gracious and generous to my seven year old son.

My host was friendly and casual. The lodging was comfortable. The neighborhood was tops: classic Cape.

Penn is a genuinely sincere and good hearted man. When we felt we'd be stuck without lodging he did everything he could to communicate with us despite spotty phone service, confirm the space, and even meet us at the street late at night, moving his boat to let us in. His charming house and affectionate cat "Shell" are extensions of his personality. Every eclectic piece or antique in this old salt box has a story, and Penn is happy to tell it. Those looking for antiseptic surroundings and tea and cookies on the veranda should look elsewhere. What Penn provides is a comfortable bed, at a very affordable price, minutes from downtown Orleans and the public beach - and his sincerity.

Penn is very friendly and a real Cape Cod'er who gave us a warm welcome and very good advice about what to do in Cape Cod. The house is a beautiful 18th century house with many stories to tell! There is a really funny and cute cat, too. The house is located in Orleans which makes it easy to travel all around the Cape (by car).

Penn's home is a nineteenth-century house, lived-in and comfortable, with a nice big garden and a very chill cat. The house is cool and eclectic, full of sailing artwork and artifacts, which reflect Penn's passion for sailboats and sailing history. My partner and I slept in a big upstairs bedroom, which was quiet and comfortable. We didn't stay around the Orleans neighborhood very much during our trip -- spent more time at Provincetown hanging out, watching whales and biking -- and Penn's house was a very convenient home-base for our adventures at the tip of Cape Cod. Penn was a welcoming host, and we would recommend his house for visitors driving around Cape Cod. Things some visitors might like to know: no wifi, shared bathroom and kitchen. When we booked, the listing still said 'entire home,' but now that has been amended to 'private room.'
