Great home for a week in the summer.
Victorian Home located in the Historic Broadway/Bliss-Kay section of town. It is one of the original homes built in this neighborhood dating from 1880's. It has wide pine plank floors and most of the original glass windows and frames. The neighborhood is entirely residential but just one block up is Broadway where the best restaurants in Newport are located.
The house has a relaxed feel. It is mainly antiques collected from our family however, there are bits of art from our travels around the world. It has gas stove in the living room (winter), hardwood floors throughout, wifi, cable, hot tub (winter), and beautifully maintained.
It has three and two half bedrooms. Two queen beds and one king bed. Two of those bedrooms have sitting rooms with pull out, full futons (super thick comfortable mattress). Two people can sleep in each bed=10 people. WAIT! There is more! Some one could crash on the sofa in the living room=11 people. Or you could bring your own blow up mattress and set it up in the living room=12-13 people.
It has a great kitchen for cooking and entertaining around the island. Equipped with dishwasher, gas cooktop and oven, microwave, toaster, refrigerator and utensils. We are also licensed to do a B&B so the house is fully equipped to suit your every need.
We have information here to make you feel right at home. We have restaurant recommendations, brochures, ironing board, blow dryers, movies, books, recommendation guide, etc, etc. Relax in the living room on the rocking chairs or lounge in the hot tub on the back porch under the stars in the winter. BBQ grill is on the back porch with the 4 person hot tub. Fire pit is in the back yard as well as table and chairs.
Thames Street is only a 15 minute walk. The beach is only one mile away. Museums, Mansions, Vineyards, Festivals await you.

My family and I stayed at Nick's Victorian house in August of 2015. I based my decision to stay at this home on the pictures, reviews and a few answered questions from Nick. When we arrived the home did not look like the pictures because the furniture was not clean and in reasonable condition. They were old and worn. Also, the house was dusty and had ants and dead bugs. Not a lot of ants and dead bugs but enough to creep everyone out. Also, on my last and third night I had to stay in a hotel because i couldn't stay at the house anymore. I developed an allergic reaction to cats even though I was told it was a pet free home. I am certain that this home has had cats! If you have allergies this place is not for you. No one in my party was happy that we stayed here. For us it was a bad decision.
We had a great time. The house was awesome. Has that old Victorian charm. Backyard was amazing. We had lunch there everyday. Although we did not get to meet Nick because we ran late, but he was great!! Very responsive, left us cookies, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Nick was a great host and we loved the house. We had a girls getaway weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday. The house was great. Good location, easy to get around.
My whole family had a wonderful stay in Newport thanks to Nick. The house is very spacious and clean. We loved the decorations and homely feel of the place. It is a great location and everything you would need is a walk away. Nick was also able to respond quickly and come in person to fix a wifi problem in the house on a weekday morning and we really appreciated that. He is very reliable! We will definitely choose to stay here when we visit Newport again. Thanks Nick!
Our Host was great, he met us the moment we arrived. He said to call him is there were any issues at all and had lots of information about Newport on hand.
There were plenty of beds and fit all 10 of us comfortably!
Nick made our arrival warm and welcoming with a plate of fresh cookies. We weren't able to meet him directly due to conflicting times. The house was clean and as described. We really wish we knew what half bedrooms were but we made the best of it. All in all it was a great house to stay at in newport. Its in walking distance to restaurant, coffee shops and bars. We recommend staying there. Thanks nick.
The host greeted us with chocolate chip cookies and ran us through all the rules of the house. Our group of 10+ people then had the entire house for the weekend and enjoyed the old-timey, cozy feel of the place as we cooked our meals and prepped for fun times with our fellow graduate school students at a spring gala. I was a little wary of putting down the deposit at first but everything worked out in the end.
