Living room downstairs has 2 pullout sofa beds, a full and a twin. Full bathroom downstairs and upstairs and an extra sink/vanity upstairs so you can get ready fast for first chair on a powder day!
This condo is literally steps away from the lifts. Closest lifts are chair 6 (2 minute walk); Chair 10 (3 minute walk). The General Store is a 3 minute walk. The Cornice Pub and Grill is immediately adjacent for your lunch and dinner needs if you want to eat out, and the 7800' bar and grill is a short walk away in the Towers building. The main plaza, ticket office and ski shop are literally a minute away. Be the first one on the mountain every time!
About Kirkwood: Kirkwood Ski Resort is off scenic Highway 88, approx. 40 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of South Lake Tahoe. It is widely acknowledged to have the best snow in the Lake Tahoe area due to it's unique location southwest of the lake - the locals describe this as the K-factor. It is part of the Vail family of resorts and a great alternative to Heavenly and Northstar for Vail Epic pass holders, with better terrain, fewer crowds and way better snow.
Note that the Base Camp condo association has 3 buildings, and the middle (creek-side) building has a laundry room with coin-op washer dryer for the entire association. Washer Dryers are not in the unit! Also note that there's an Apple TV and Roku box, and hi speed WiFi, but limited to no cable TV since we prefer to get our favorite stuff off the net with the Apple TV and Roku.

1. Kirkwood is one of the most expensive utility districts, with electricity and water rates that are 6 times the national average. Guests are encouraged to conserve utilities and use the wood burning stove as a primary heat source rather than the electric heat. It's more romantic anyways. :)
2. Check-out is strictly at 11am. No late check-out exceptions, please. Cleaners need to come in and get the place ready for the next check-in, which is typically 4pm, and they need ALL of that that time to clean. Even if there isn't a later checkin that day, cleaners need to get in after 11am. This means you need to plan ahead to be completely out of the condo and moved out of the parking spot by 11am. (Suggestion: re-park the car the night before in an open street parking spot if you plan to stay and ski the next day, and pack everything away in your car that morning and complete all check-out instructions by 11am). If this will not work for you, please consider booking an additional day. I'm sorry but this cannot be added or requested after the initial booking is accepted , and it's not possible to accommodate a request for late checkout.
Please be considerate, and note that there's no smoking and no pets with no exceptions in this condo. Hope you have a wonderful time at Kirkwood!
