The garden rooms overlooking the wine-producing vineyards and compliment the stately main house. Guests are offers a taste of old-fashioned comfort and luxury in the town of Montagu on the world famous Route 62.

Relax in the splash pool set in the tranquil gardens with magnificent old oak and Milkwood trees. Lounge on the lawns with glorious views of the vineyards and surrounding mountains, sipping a glass of Chenin Blanc produced from the grapes of the estates vines.

There are 5 garden rooms and 2 rooms in the main farmhouse. The tastefully decorated garden rooms include a fireplace and are en-suite with a veranda overlooking the gardens and vineyard.

The 2 rooms in the main farmhouse combine old world charm with modern en-suite facilities (separate entrance with own patios).

All rooms have television, heated towel rails, hair dryer, a welcome tray with tea and coffee, a bowl of fruit and complimentary carafe of wine produced from the grapes of the farms vineyard.

  • Fantastic!!!! The view was amazing. Place was spacious, super clean and comfy....upscale decor and amenities. We folded back the sliding doors each night so the living room extended the balcony (as designed) to listen to the waves and relax! Wireless Internet was slow for US standards but my daughter, student at the university in Cape Town, said it was above average for the area. Matt was an excellent host. We had the option to pre-stock the fridge and pantry which was extremely helpful. Their choices were top notch and consumed!!

  • A little out of our comfort zone on arrival but soon settled in to the quirky environment of the Tranquil Forest Guesthouse. Friendly staff and good food with evening meals available.

  • My family of 6 (4 children 8-16) really enjoyed our stay in this property. The location was great in several ways. It was an easy stroll down to the Camps Bay commercial strip (for food and shopping) and the beach. It was an easy drive to central CT. And we could even climb Table Mountain starting from the flat.

    The convenient location does lead to some traffic noise from the street out front.

    The flat itself is very comfortable, well furnished and has a great view. Its open floor plan was very nice to hang out in in the mornings and evenings. The 3 en-suite bedrooms were great and had plenty of storage space. The daily cleaning service, really helped make our stay a vacation. It felt like a combination of the good aspects of a hotel with the benefits of a private residence. We ate several meals in the flat and found that the kitchen was adequately stocked and supplied and dining on the outdoor deck during sunset was fantastic.

    Having enclosed parking was also a plus.

    We would recommend this property highly.

  • The host was very helpful including organising a baby cot for our son and check-in and out were simple and fast. The apartment was clean and as described and is very centrally located for seeing the city. The only drawback is that it is right off of Long Street which is kind of the hub for nightlife in Cape Town. If you are looking to party then this apartment would be ideal as you'll be right in the heart of it. But if you are travelling with small children (as we were) or on business and need a good night sleep, you might want to think twice as it was very loud during the night.

  • We had a marvelous stay at this apt. It is roomy and comfortable with good light and views in a great central location. The staff was friendly and efficient. It's right close to Long St with great cafés, bars and life. (Which means there is some street noise at night so you may want to close the windows late.)

  • The host and welcoming was perfect and well organised. The property is very clean and comfortable. We stayed here 5 nights and loved the fact that you can walk in less then 2 minutes to Camps Bay restaurants. You leave your car in front of the property when you arrive and can literally continue the rest of your day without car, which is unusual for South Africa and thus very nice at this property ! Only minor points is that there is no airco in the bedroom and it was quite hot during our week stay, since you are on the ground floor, sleeping with your window open is far from recommended , so the sleeping was not very comfortable. also for 2 large adults the bed is quite small. If we would go back we would definitely take the upper apartment in the same building, since that one has a great view. we had no view at all, though a very cosy garden and terrace, including a sauna, which we enjoyed for late night drinks before going to bed. the daily servicing is done by Monica and is amazing ! To summarize, a must go place, if you really like Camps Bay and stay a significant part of your time in Camps Bay ! You can do all walking, to the beaches, restaurants, shops... !but I would not go for instance as a honeymoon...then you need the amazing views which you will get higher on the mountain and not in the lower part, where Geneva Drive 17 is situated !

  • This apartment is large and nicely furnished, with a balcony offering an incredible view of Table Mountain. Unfortunately, we did not have either air conditioning or internet during our eight-day stay, even though both were listed as "Amenities" in the airbnb apartment listing. Our efforts to communicate with our host during our stay about these discrepancies were unsuccessful, as the unit owner Jason never responded to emails or phone calls concerning these matters. We were in Cape Town during the Cape Argus bicycle race, so accommodations were at a premium, and we had no choice but to stay put.

    There are several apartments in this building available for rent. None are air conditioned, as the building does not have the requisite ducting. The building is centrally located in downtown Cape Town within 200 feet of Long Street. Unfortunately, at night Long Street is similar to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, except without a curfew. With the windows open for the lack of AC, we were required to listen to loud bar music, subwoofers, shrieking revelers, police sirens, horns, breaking bottles, drums, and general mayhem every night from 10 pm until 5 a.m. The noise would have been less of an issue if we could have closed the windows, however this is not an option during the hot Cape Town summer without AC.

    The on-site building management were extremely helpful and nice to deal with. Parking was easy and apartments are cleaned nicely by the maid service. It would have been a pleasant stay if we could have closed the windows to keep out the noise, and if we did not have to spend time in internet cafes attending to important E-mails and the like. Hopefully the owner Jason will be more responsive to guests in the future, however the air conditioning problem does not seem solvable, so this may be a rental option best avoided between December and March.

  • We stayed here for our honeymoon for five nights. The actual apartment looks as billed in the photos but you cannot tell how spectacular the views are and how great the location in Camps Bay is. If you want to do a lot of touring you will be taking cabs mostly to the museums, waterfront, etc, but the area of Camps Bay is beautiful and has tons of restaurants nearby. Very close, walking distance by a few minutes to a medium sized grocery store, the beach, restaurants, bars, city buses, and cabs. Also this place gets cleaned daily with laundry services which was a huge plus for us. We ran into the owners above a few times and they were very sweet. Would definitely return!

  • The Unique Luxurious Vacation Rental was a great apartment. We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is just as displayed in the pictures. Everything you'd need in an apartment was provided down to 10 sets of chop sticks in cases your having sushi whilst having a dinner party. We managed to swim on the last couple of days as the pool wasn't heated, but i don't imagine that many of the outdoor pools are heated here.
    Will definitely stay here again if i'm coming to cape town. Stayed here 1st week in March and would have left a review earlier, but a blank credit card imprint was taken when we checked and were told they would bring it when we were checking out if no incidentals. When we checked out we were told that it would be destroyed the following day after the cleaner had gone through the property. It however took two weeks for the confirmation of this. The team however were very efficient otherwise in every detail from checking in to cleaning and checking out.

  • The location is breathtaking. All other places from now on will have to live up to this place. Massive upstairs entertaining area and ample sized on suite rooms made this the ideal destination for our big party of post-wedding friends.
