near Kharlap St 56-60, Jerusalem
Bus No 13 from the city center stops at major sites including the Jaffa Gate of the Old City, Mamilla Mall, Agron St and is a ten minute ride to Hapalmah St shops. From there walk 100 meters to Harlap Street 58. You have arrived.
Take tram from central bus station up jaffas street. get off near city hall / shlomzion hamalka st. Walk about seven minutes downhill on shlomzion hamalka street to the corner of mamilla, king david st and agron streets. Turn right on agron to find bus stop no 13.
Bus 14 from central bus station to hapalmah and haviva reik st. get off and walk eastward down hapalmah until harlap street, turn left and you have arrived.
Bus No 9, 19, 32 and others come from the Central Bus Station. The best stop to alight is the corner of Azza and Radak. The quickest route is about 6 minute walk up radak, right at hanasi, straight into itamar ben avi directly to harlap 58.
Walking / riding from the new or old city is about 25 min / 10 minutes respectively. From Jaffa gate go on agron street (it starts at mamilla) till the intersection of keren hayesod (great synagogue and prime ministers home). continue down gaza street till radak. left on radak (joshua bar) right on hanasi (van leer institute / presidencial residence), continue on itamar ben avi, till you hit harlap (at the nexus of harlap, itamar ben avi and hapalmach streets).
From the airport - just outside near the taxi stand, Nesher Shuttle takes up to ten passengers and drops them directly to any destination in Jerusalem for the reasonable price of 60 something shekel. the ride is a about an hour. its a bit more expensive than the bus but far more convenient.
Upon arriving, enter the overgrown stone paved entrance marked 58. continue up the garden path, down some stairs to the back garden and come around the building to the side courtyard. welcome, youve arrived. please keep an eye out for me or a volunteer and introduce yourself.

The 'House Mother' Elena is very nice and helpful and can assist with your requirements onsite
Dear potential guests, I am a private and relatively reclusive person and request minimum and only necessary communication before your arrival. The airbandb automated facilities makes it simple for private people like myself to open their homes to vetted guests without it affecting their way of life and quiet. Seeking efficiency and simplicity in the booking process i have made sure all conceivable details are posted online and everything is easy and transparent so as to permit you to make the best choice for your needs and save us both time and energy. If this is not enough, more information, pictures and reviews are posted on using the name Jerusalem Garden Studios or Guesthouse.
It is very important to me that I am not inundated with questions or requests for information or attempts to bargain me down on prices. Everything is standardized and automated there should be no need for too much pre arrival communications. Most of the procedures on site such as laundry and wifi are self explanatory to use. A simple booking is sufficient.
That is not to say you will not be looked after while here. There is a very kind and helpful 'house mother' - Elena - on site who can help with anything specific you might need for your stay. There are also long term guests who can assist with questions you may have. The place is very pleasant and many people would say unique in Jerusalem so I am confident you will enjoy your stay and the company. I will invariably meet you in the courtyard or garden and i am sure it will be a pleasure to spend some time chatting on subjects of mutual interest, poetry, politics, history, religion, archeology, anthropology or to assist you in your tour planning.
I do kindly repeat my request not to be harassed with questions which are already posted online. If you are needy, neurotic in over-planning or ask many questions or cannot look after yourself while here, this establishment is not for you. There are larger, better staffed places more suitable to your requirements. Thank-you in advance.

My name is Avrum. After traveling and living, researching and lecturing around the world i finally settled down in a beautiful neighborhood of Jerusalem and set up a small guesthouse style community and creative space where i get the opportunity to meet and host interesting people from around the country and the world.
This was made possible by airbandb which facilitates easy hassle free bookings and payment. otherwise it would be too logistically challenging and distracting from the quiet lifestyle i enjoy.
I am an enthusiast of archeology and history, travelling and adventure and especially partial to outdoors, deserts, beaches, rivers, springs, off the beaten track historical, archeological and generally interesting places. I often go out on day/s trips in the area and have even started studying a tourguide course for personal interest. I am presently writing a historical novel on the biblical world and enjoy peace, quiet together with meaningful meetings and conversations on serious subjects.
I especially welcome guests with creative interests who are low maintenance, who will not demand a lot of energy, who wish to spend their time in Israel living in a unique environment.
