This place was in a lovely location atop a hill a few kilometres north of Siena. The views were stunning and the setting was peaceful and relaxing. There is a restaurant on site that offers fairly basic homely food at reasonable prices. I wouldn't recommend it if you are after the high quality ingredients and the kind of dishes Tuscany is famous for though. The room was a good size, had great views over the valley and had a spacious and clean bathroom with good shower. We had requested a double bed but this meant two single beds of different heights pushed together, which we were told was something that "happens in Italy" when we enquired (not something we experienced elsewhere in our stay in Tuscany though), but this is definitely something we would have liked to have known at the time of booking and if so I would have booked somewhere else. Also, the rooms could be better sound-proofed as we were able to hear the couple next door quite clearly as they giggled and joked around in the early-hours. Breakfast was very low quality and again not up-to scratch of Tuscan food. We didn't eat anything significant in the end and so we breakfasted elsewhere in Siena later in the morning. Owners and staff are friendly and speak good English. Overall we did enjoy our stay - we didn't let the negative things spoil our great mood brought on through the beauty of Tuscany.
