welcome ! benvindo!
consolacao hood is central and near everything, i love this!
we dont have and dont need a car,
there is everything around really from churchs, bars, theathers, markets, buses, metros, sightseeing, universyties, everything.
but since we are in the middle of the city consolacao is not a quiete area.
my old house is located next roosevelt square, a big plaza, very alive, skaters, music, dogs, bikers, everything, here is pretty fun!
the house inside is unique and cozy...for me is a oásis inside the concrete city that is são Paulo, is a oásis, with birds and trees!
getting around it very simple, we are in a landmark plaza, so no problem to find us at all...buses lines in rua da consolacao, rua augusta, avenida nove de julho.
taking metro is good too...we dont have many lines in são Paulo, but we are close to a big station, with couple lines, the yellow and the red.
walking in my favorite transportation..i know could be hard for many of you, but going to the old center and paulista is ok...i will explain all for you not going to the wrong place.
taking a cab late of night is good idea...and since we are center the cabs will be not expensive..
to come and going to the airport is pretty easy too.
take the bus direcly to praça da republica and walk to here, will be around 10 minutes..if you have a lot of luggage, come by bus and take a cab...will be around 35 reais by bus and the cab to here around 15 reais...
the cab from the airport to the city is around 120 reais and we are the best price, because the área is central. they charge you there, so no mistake.
in the way back you can help you arrange a cab ...if we are luck our taxi driver friend olivier, can drive you with a very good discount!
f we need we rent one, there are many rental cars around.
we are in são Paulo, brasil, third world country, the city is Always dangerou and is not...you just need to follow the tips that you have to do in all stranger places...i will give you all the tips and i think will be fine...
we are surrounded by all kind of people with is marvelous, keep you cel phone, câmeras and computers safe when you go out and call me if you need any help.
i personaly never had any problems walking around ...neither my guests, i alreay host more than 100 person here on airbnb, plus the people from other sources..so thats fine!
we are in a Young hype and artsy área, the house is full of art too...so if you are willing to fell this energy come! if you are concern and afraid maybe you need a more upscale place!
i love my old house and the vibe of roosevelt square and consolacao neighborhood!
relax and enjoy!
and dont forget that here is a house that have dogs, Birds, trees, it is old, we keep it old...books and art is our passion...and sustentability!
This is a wonderful place to stay! Jussara and Bamba were such great hosts - they shared their dinner with me one night, provided excellent recommendations about what to see/do, and took me out into the neighborhood as soon as I arrived. They even helped take care of me when I caught a cold! The house is in a great location, across from a great little skate park (good for people watching) and close to Edificio Copan, Edificio Italia, and a Metro station. The neighborhood also felt safe, which means a lot when you're traveling alone as a woman. Highly recommend!
Beautiful house, friendly hosts and an amazing location - a three-minute walk from the most exciting nightlife district in the city and close to the metro. Jussara showed us round the area on the first day, picked up guaraná shampoo for us after we said we liked the food, and made us feel totally at home - all much appreciated. Just one problem: the area is noisy at night and on one night our hosts talked loudly and kept us awake, although we're confident this was a one-off and wouldn't happen again.
The first day you guys stayed out until very late or very early...so we didnt know that you were at home when we had friends over. .we tried to make our best and you said that you sleep well, yes the house is not a great sound prove it is an old house from the 20,s...but we left you stayed until you want your flight was at night on sunday and we asked for a cab to make you fell safe. .sp is a noise city and we are in the middle of it. I felt confortable with you...my mistake! Have a great year! Cheers! Paz jussara
I arrived after midnight and they waited for me with soup and wine. I felt immediately at home. Cool house, good vibe. Thank you so much. I will go back anytime.
Jussara and Bamba are excellent hosts. They are smart and sweet and have been very thoughtful about my welfare and of course, Garo is also very sympathetic. The house is very spacious and cozy. The region have everything you need.Very reccomended.
Had a wonderful stay with Jussara & Bumba, I arrived at 12:30, by 12:45 I was in a weekend market experiencing the Brazilian culture, awesome. Had an early dinner with them and their friends at their place (5:00pm) and then a late dinner with them and their friends (11:00pm). Jussara provided me with great directions and advice for finding my way around Sao Paulo, overall I had a wonderful experience, and great stay at their 1920's remodelled home, a melting pot for the arts.
Staying at Jussara's was very amazing to say the least. She was very helpful and her and her husband are the coolest & nicest of people! The location was great and vibrant. I was only there for a short amount of time and still I met a lot people and had a lot of fun! Besides the beautiful city of Sao Paulo itself, Jussara and Bamba are reason enough for me to travel back to Sao Paulo soon! Muito obrigado!
It was great staying at Jussara's. She welcomes the host with attention and care and the accommodation offers privacy for the guest. It is right in front of Franklin Roosevelt square, which is peopled by skaters and with a police module. It is within easy reach of the Republica subway station (10-minute walk) and there is a nice typical Paulista bakery on the way (Santa Ifigênia). I do recommend stayng at ther place. I would also like to thank Jussara and Bamba for inviting me to watch Molière's comedy The Bourgeois Gentleman at Parlapatões theater (on the opposite side of the square). Congratulations to Bamba and the Parlapatões company. The production is great. I hope to watch it again here at CWB soon.
My mother and I loved the house! Very artistic and original….It was full of character and was perfect for our needs. Jussara and Bamba were extremely kind and helpful. Before we arrived Jussara provided us with great information on how far things were from her place as well as great local places to eat. Upon our arrival, they gave us more recommendations. Their dog is also very friendly. Great location, highly recommended.
What an amazing stay it was! My friends and I, 3 in total, had our most pleasant stay at Jussara's house throughout my study/travel in Brazil. Jussara, her boyfriend and her dog stayed with us the entire time and provided us the company, comfort, warmth and fun which made our first visit to Brazil that much more special. Throughout the stay we experienced a range of weather: from the late warm summer where we hung out on their beautiful patio with a full size avacado tree, to one of the coldest winters recently. While most of our friends literally "freezed" in their other apartments, we were met with extra blankets, hot team and even clothes from Jussara (if you're her size)! We had an absolutely wonderful experience, I highly recommend staying here and enjoying Sao Paulo with the unique hospitality of Jussara.
