We loved our stay here! The property is in a beautiful location - who can deny the wonder of a clifftop oceanfront view? Shannon and her family were great - they live just next door up the road - and even brought us some firewood for an evening marshmallow roast. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. Thanks again!
This place is gorgeous and lives up to its name. Our kids loved exploring the ocean at low tide, the private beaches and surrounding forest. What a view, breathtaking sunsets every night, great little town of St George nearby. We watched harbour porpoises swimming in the bay as we ate our breakfast on the deck. Can't say enough good things about this gem, right on the ocean. Highly recommended!
We stayed for one week at the Shannon Cottage with our two boys aged 10 and 13. The pictures do not show the true beauty of the landscape. The sunsets are beautiful and the kids had a great time down the rocks to get treasures on the beach. What about the starry sky in the evening? We were lucky enough to see some porpoises and seals every day going right past the cottage. We were visited by deers, porcupine and foxes. The cottage is clean and just big enough with its three bedrooms. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are good. We visited St. Andrews, the lighthouse of GreenPoint which is right next door and went on a hike to the Fundy Trail Park with a stop at the Seacaves in St. Martin. We also went on Deer Island, but were a bit disappointed as not much to see and badly indicated on the island. Perhaps go to Grand Manan island even if you have to pay to take the ferry. All activities are within a two hour drive. Too bad it is a nine hour drive from home as we would definitely stay here again.
