There is a Police Station on the same street, a small shop with all the basics just next door to the building, several cafes, and a bakery, all literally at a 2 minute walking distance. At a 5 minute walking distance, there's also a supermarket! CASA DA MUSICA, the internationally acclaimed concert hall designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas, is only a 5 minute walk away! Car access is easy, but nearby you'll also find direct buses to the FOZ and beaches.
When I'm not in Porto there is someone with a spare key who can also provide help if need be. Although I can always be contacted by mail or on my mobile, wherever I am.
Check out the "Casinha Boutique Cafe" which has a lovely garden ! Or the superb "Em Carne Viva" vegetarian restaurant ! Both are really close to the flat ! As is the "Mercado do Bom Sucesso", an old market place converted to a multitude of cool food stands...The Serralves Museum is also close.
There are also two supermarkets just 5 minutes walk : "Pingo Doce" on the Avenue and "Lidl" also close...
Parking is free in the street, and there is a Metro station 12 minutes away. Buses go up and down the Avenida Da Boavista too...and the main Bus Station at Bom Sucesso is only 10 minutes walk...
Depending on availability an airport pick-up can sometimes be offered. Just check...
No particular rules to observe other than those you would have in your home... ;-)
