Our apartment is a beautiful, PRIVATE, apartment in the West 80s, just off Central Park West on the Upper West Side. Sleeps up to four using the queen sized bed and fold down couch. The apartment is located on West 82nd Street between Columbus and Central Park West, one block from the Museum of Natural History, a one minute walk to Central Park and one block from the subway (A/B/C/D and 1/2/3 lines). You get the ENTIRE apartment. It is all private. There is a couch that folds down into a very comfortable queen-sized bed, end tables, large closet, Queen sized bed, nightstand, alarm clock, and a dresser in the main room. We have Digital cable HDTV, DVD player, wireless high-speed internet. There is air conditioning. The apartment has full bathroom with tub, and a fully equipped kitchen, with stovetop and refrigerator, that has plates, cups, cutlery and basic cooking equipment (the oven part of the stove, where you would bake in, does not work).
This is a NO SMOKING apartment. Bedding, linens and towels are provided. The apartment is within walking distance to Central Park, Lincoln Center, American Museum of Natural History, Broadway Theaters, Fifth Avenue, Tiffany's, Saks, MoMA, Sony AMC theatre, Time Warner Center, Rockefeller Center, Trump Tower and more, and is ten minutes to Columbia University and Midtown, 20 minutes to Downtown.
* PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A STUDIO - I.E. One room with a separate private kitchen and separate, private bathroom. There is a queen-sized bed in the main room and an IKEA couch that folds down to a queen sized bed.
You will have access to the entire apartment.
I will meet you for check in, am available for any problems, and I live in the building, so I will probably see you a few times in the hallway, but outside of that, its your apartment when you rent it, I resect your privacy.
The 1, B and C trains are a few blocks away, as are the M7 and M11 buses. I have airport directions in the guidebook, which you will receive upon booking.
BUILDING: You are staying as a guest in the apartment of the tenant of a residential apartment building. Please be considerate of the other tenants in the building, all of whom reside here full time. DO NOT loiter in the halls of the building – especially when you are arriving or departing.
ACCESS: We may access the apartment between 11 am and 5 pm any day of the week for the purpose of showing the apartment to potential guests. We will give you prior day’s notice in the Air BnB messaging center (no later than 9 pm the night before).
EXTERMINATOR: As a preventative measure, the building provides an exterminator once a month. The exterminator comes between 8:30am and 11:30 am the first Thursday of the month. Please allow the exterminator access to the apartment.
LOCKOUTS AND KEYS: There is a $25 charge for a lockout. Should guests lose a set of keys there is an $80 charge for re-keying the lock(s).
BEDDING/TOWELS: We supply two sets of bedding. We also supply at least two sets of towels per person specified on the booking. It is the guest’s responsibility to have these cleaned during their stay. If you are going to use the fold down couch, please let me know when you book so we can leave two sets of bedding out for that too.
SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment or in the building.
Brian and the apartment was fantastic! The place was exactly how it looks in the pictures - clean + cozy, and extra towels were provided. Brian was an awesome host - very accommodating and responds very quickly for any questions. I also love the location. It's a quiet, safe neighborhood and subway is right round the corner.

Brian was a great host! I stayed at this apartment for the entire summer- beginning of June thru the middle of August, and whenever I had a problem (there were very few) Brian was always quick to respond to a message via Air BnB or a text message. The apartment is nice- everything in the kitchen works and the bathroom is clean and relatively modern. It is small, but perfect for two people- even for 3 months! The futon is just as comfortable as the bed, and my roommate and I were happy to sleep on either. The neighborhood is AMAZING. I have lived in NYC the past two summers and this is by far my favorite place that I have lived. The subway station is literally 3 minutes away (less than a full block) and the Museum of Natural History and Central Park are in your back yard- each about a 5 minute walk away. The restaurants around the apartment are great, as is the shopping, and there is a movie theater 4 blocks away! Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for either a short term or long term stay.
We really loved our 3-month stay in New York! This studio was very good for us and for our cats. Brian is very helpful. And the neighborhood is simply amazing, including so many excellent restaurants.
My sister and I stayed for a month, the apartment was perfect for our needs. The location is the biggest selling point! It is close to the Natural History Museum, Central Park, the subway, and great restaurants. Brian was an excellent host, very easy to communicate with.
I stayed 6 weeks in Brian's studio for work and everything was exactly as described. The room was more than enough for me and Brian was very convenient for the check-in and the check-out. The appartment is a little bit nosy because on the 1st floor, but nothing too serious
The location is perfect: one block from Central Park, close to many restaurants, bars, etc. and one block from 2 subways lines (B&C).
I would definitely come back here if I could !
A great studio apartment in the UWS. Very quiet neighborhood and equally quiet building. I stayed here for 2 months, with my small dog, while working in NYC. Close to Central Park, AMNH, and many other attractions. A block from the subway (B & C line). Many restaurants nearby with ample amounts of delivery options. The apartment was clean, supplied with fresh linens, plenty of hot water, dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. Brian was quick to assist with any issues with the apartment.
There were a few drawbacks:
You share the Internet with the building, I'm pretty sure the router was on the 2nd or 3rd floor, so the Internet from the apt was spotty & slow at times.
Just a word of warning for those using AT&T for cell service, for me it was difficult getting and retaining a signal in the apartment.
While the stovetop worked, the oven did not. I didn't learn of this until I checked in. Brian stated that he could have it fixed, but I never pushed the issue. When cooking for one, I rarely use the oven.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it!
