Descrizione

My house is in a very quiet location in a small village, literally one km from Prague. It takes 34 - 40 min. to the heart of Prague by public transport, ticket is just 1,50 €. Connection is every 15 - 30 min., 30 - 60 min. on weekends. Last connection from centre is at 23:40. If you come on bike, there is a garage. Your room is on the first floor, where is also small private bathroom (shower and WC) and a big living room with kitchen, TV and PC, where you will be usually alone, cause I live on the second floor. Simple breakfast after first night and Wi-Fi incl. There are 2 bars in our village. We have an ancient castle and two lakes, but you probably come to enjoy Prague ;-). Please ask me about availability only if you really want to come.

Going to my place take Metro Red "C" Line to Terminus "Letňany". When leaving Metro, take the first staircase on your right. Take Bus 378 to "Jenštejn" stop. Follow Bus direction to the Bar, turn left, my house is the forth one on your left. From "Letňany" Terminus you could take 375 Bus as well, but you have to walk 1,5 km to my house from "Drevcice rozcesti Jenstejn" stop, beware, it's a request Stop in the middle of fields, but only 15 minutes walk. For a few of 375's is "Podolanka" the final stop, it's a 20 minutes walk from there, ask locals for direction to Jenštejn. Another possibility is take Metro Yellow "B" Line to Terminus "Černý Most" and 367 Bus from there to "Jenštejn" stop. Walk back, after a Bar turn left, my house is the forth one on the left side. All info about public transport in Prague you will find at Put "Jenstejn" for my village, "Terminal 1" for Airport, "Hlavni nadrazi" for Railway Station or "Florenc" for Bus Station. Going to Jenštejn, buy ticket for 40 CZK from vending machine( only coins), it allows travel 120 minutes in Prague + 1st outside Zone. Going from Jenštejn, buy 40 CZK ticket in Bus, you can travel further 120 min in Prague inc. Lift to Petřín.

Ivo was a wonderful host. He picked me from the metro by his car. I spent there for 4 nights. He was so friendly and helping me, when needed. I would love to visit him again. Thank you Ivo.

Ivo A big thank you to Ivo for making me feel welcome. Ivo was a very good and helpful host. He speaks fluent English, has tons of travel experience, lots of humor, and is a superb chef. The day I moved in, he picked me up in central Prague and drove me to Jenstein. He also helped me find a grocery store and made some excellent Asian meals. The living room was nice and big and the kitchen was also very nice with microwave oven. The bedroom was better than I expected , bright and nice with a very comfortable bed. There's plenty of storage space and modern windows so there's lots of daylight and fresh air. I would definitely stay there again.

Ivo is a very friendly host and when we had trouble getting from the tram to his place he even offered to come pick us up which for him meant driving a total of like 20-30 minutes. Close to where Ivo lives there's a pub I recommend visiting if you want a slower night than the city is offering.

Ivo's place is first and formost really nice. We had a really pleasant stay in the cosy room, and even though it was a bit further from the city centre, it was still totally worth it! Even better, Ivo is a wonderful host! Due to the time we arrived on the first night, the busses were really infrequent (the next 378 bus to Ivo's place was in 2 hours). We gave Ivo a call, and he told us to take an alternative (375) where he'd meet us at the bus stop. What we didn't know is that Ivo had to drive all the way there to pick us up! We were really thankful for that, since we'd never have found the place so late at night from this bus stop (: Ivo also was really sweet and prepared some food for us (but we consistently needed to rush out to catch our bus). He was really warm and accommodating, and is a nice guy to talk to! Nearby Ivo's place is a castle, while small, we felt was worth a look. The views from the top were really nice, a different from what you get in the city! There's a bar only a couple minutes walk from Ivo's place too, where the service was superb; one of the staff came to sit down and translate the czech menu so we could order. The food was awesome, and the place and a really warm town vibe to it - again a really different feel to the super busy, super touristy city centre! We must say we really enjoyed our stay in Prague, and staying and Ivo's place definitely helped as well (:

Ivo is a perfect Airbnb host. A local who has traveled many different places, and can sit down to have a conversation over a beer. Almost like visiting a pal in another country. If his girlfriend weren't having a baby, I'd probably try to persuade him to join me in backpacking around the world. (Lol) The place itself is excellent. You have what is essentially a one bedroom apartment with wifi, washer and dryer, kitchen, etc. Ivo is upstairs and will drop in occasionally to see if things are good or have a chat. Since he's an interesting guy, this a definite bonus. The only drawback might be the distance to Prague center. It takes about 40 minutes by public transit. But considering what you get at such an excellent price....this isn't really an issue. .
