I had a very pleasant experience! Jacquie showed me trails to beaches that gave me memories I will treasure. Also, during my stay, I Jacquie taught me how to make a basket out of pine needles. They were hospitable, accommodating and I truly enjoyed my stay. THANK YOU Jacquie and David!
David was an excellent host, and the accommodations are just as wonderful as they appear in the listing! Beautiful hiking starts right outside the front door, and it's less than a mile to reach restaurants (range of price levels), shops, and entertainment. In the house, we couldn't have been more comfortable -- the bedroom is a dream, and so is the spa! Our only regret is that we didn't get a chance to meet Jacquie, as she was out of town during our visit, but David was extremely kind and helpful -- no complaints whatsoever!
In short: Great, fully equipped accommodation, perfect location to start exploring, best quality/price ratio. A truly authentic Lake Tahoe experience
At full length: Jacquie and David are wonderful hosts. Their home is spacious, cozy and clean. They'll do anything to make your stay unique and unforgettable. They are knowledgable when it comes to nature and trips around Lake Tahoe and will provide valuable tips for your stay. On top there's a whole folder with information on the lake, tours & trips and eating options in the area (that we gladly consulted at any given opportunity.) There's so much to experience around Lake Tahoe – Incline Village is a great spot to start your trips by car or bike.
Some more details: We didn't stay in the Master Suite bedroom, instead we got to change downstairs to the Basecamp apartment. But we got to see all of the rooms during our stay and they're all equally well decorated, with spacious bathrooms and big, comfortable beds. Both kitchens are perfectly equipped with ingredients and supplies. They even let us borrow coffee, milk, eggs and anything we needed to get going in the morning.
Our stay reached an unexpected adventurous peak when a bear cub strayed into the garage one night. It was an harmless incident yet Jacquie insisted on making us a lovely leathern 'bear survival pouch'. And despite the nightly visitor we enjoined staying there so much we spontaneously decided to extend our stay for another night (which was easy and uncomplicated as anything with Jacquie and David).
So would I recommend this place to future Lake Tahoe travelers? Absolutely. And would I want to stay here once again? Sooner rather than later.
Thanks a lot to Jacquie and David! Our Lake Tahoe experience would not have been the same without them.
First of all the room was perfect. Cosy, very proper, confortable, with a big bathroom, big closet and a perfect view on the garden under snow. The bed is so confortable and warm that we could have spent the whole day in it!
The house is as well very confortable and Jacquie and David make everything so you can feel in your own house.
The Jacouzzi was a really great moment after a day skying!
I would highly recommend this place to stay.
Jacquie and David are giving you all the needed advices for enjoying the stay in Lake Tahoe.
Jacquie took us for a morning walk in the backyard after a snow storm, with a perfect blue bird sky... it was just perfect.
We wish to come back quickly maybe during summer time to discover another side of the Lake Tahoe!
Jacquie and David are beautiful and inspiring people! This was my first time using Airbnb, and I had a lovely experience exploring Tahoe while staying true to my sustainable values. They went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I enjoyed our stay. We went kayaking at Incline Beach, mountain biking along Flume Trail and the highway, picnicked at Sand Harbor, and had a spontaneous brainstorming session celebrating how to live sustainably! Jacquie gave us renewed motivation and expertise in telling compelling stories on the corporate level. David chatted with us about our solar panel installation project with GRID Alternatives. And we all learned about the amazing work that they are doing through Sustainable Tahoe! It was a perfect weekend with the perfect hosts; cozy, hospitable, down-to-earth, exhilarating, and rejuvenating. We are looking forward to visiting again soon and bringing down more Berkeley students! Thank you for giving us hope and home!
Our stay was everything we'd hoped for and so much more. There's no way we could have anticipated just how well thought-out their space was, or the kindness, knowledge and resourcefulness of our hosts before our arrival; afterwards, we thanked our lucky stars each day that we'd found this place among so many. During our stay, we read about Tahoe's history and current conservation efforts--between hiking, hitting the slopes, kayaking and great conversations. David and Jacquie are kind, creative, aware and widely experienced--they'll let you keep to yourself, of course, if that's your preference, but you'd be doing yourself disservice, so don't be shy! While our trip would have been fantastic simply because they and others care very deeply for Tahoe and work to preserve it, being able to talk with them and benefit from their experiences and recommendations made our stay even more meaningful. Coming home was hard--Tahoe is a part of us now, and we cannot wait to get back!
This is a special place.
David lent us his GoPro and even edited the footage for us to take home!
Jacquie helped us make our new sweet Toastums to warm our feet
The French press coffee with FROTH is out of this world!
The EarthGym out back is a great way to reinvigorate the body and soul!
Got to talk to MICK DODGE OVER THE PHONE!!
Their pets are chill
The shower is dope
They help you with whatever you need.
couldn't stay longer.
Jacquie and David were wonderful hosts! The room and accommodations were lovely and as expected. The bed was very comfortable, towels and extra blankets were provided, and Jacquie even made a delicious breakfast for us on our last morning. Jacquie also made a helpful binder full of information about hikes, eating options, and things to do around Tahoe. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to others looking for an easy, relaxing, and convenient place stay in the Tahoe area.
Jacquie and David were great! This is a beautiful spot with fantastic hosts!!
