I want to start by thanking you for taking the time to write your extensive review. We understand and appreciate our guests feedback. We are sorry if you feel as we were not personal, the Self Check-In is a tool we use for the convenience of the guest as we understand traveling issues are more common than we will like to and we might not be available at your arrival time.
The self check in then is used so all our guest can check in as soon as the room is ready.
As you might already know, there are other guests that come after and before you and this is the reason both early check in and late check out were not available. To explain this further, The previous guests checked out around 11:00am, you wanted to come into the apartment earlier with very little noticed. Therefore, we rushed the other apartment we were getting ready and moved to this one as soon as possible to try to fulfill your request. We did the best we could and you were able to check in the apartment 30 minutes earlier complimentary, meaning at no charge. Something else worth saying is that the check in is noted on the instructions and in the page to be at 15:00(3pm), but we nicely made an exception and were able to do (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) pm) for you to try to accommodate your needs as possible.
Regarding the late check you, if I’m not mistaken, you requested a 16:00(4pm) Late check out as soon as you finished your instant booking. To which we advise it was 40euros in a message that went “unfortunately our check out time is until 11:00. as you can see in our rules, a later check out have an extra charge of 40€” to which you declined and stated you will be checking out by 11AM. As you can imagine we have other guests that will want their AirBnB to be ready at the time of check in which is 15:00(3pm). Since you declined the above offer, we decided to inform the upcoming guest that their AirBnB will be available at 15:00 because the guest (you) will be checking out on time. Even if you would have changed your mind later and decided to pay the 40€, we would have not be able to extend the late check out because we were now on a tight scheduled and after your check out we needed to get the AirBnB ready for the upcoming guest to stay much like we did for you.
Mr Mohamed, you also state on your review that you requested to leave your bags in the apartment. There are multiple reasons as hosts why we can not do this and let me explain them to you. First, It is a liability after you check out to have your personal belongings in the house. At the end, it is our apartment and is something is to happen to your belonging we will be responsible which is a risk we can not afford to take. Another reason, the safety and pleasure of the upcoming guest. We will not want you to check in to the apartment and have luggage from a previous guest. It is of bad taste in our eyes and we have that rule place as a standard. Also, having your bags in the apartment will mean you will have to come back while the other guests are already check in and disrupt their privacy, or in any case we will have to disrupt their privacy which as host we do not intend or do to any of our guests unless there is an emergency. When you requested the bags to be left we found a solution to your problem and send you the link of a company that provides the service. We sent you the link to (Website hidden by Airbnb) which will have resolved your problem. I believe we went above and beyond our duties as hosts to try to make your stay as pleasurable as possible with the possibilities in hand.
Lastly, we are very careful to ensure all the amenities are clearly stated in the apartment as we understand the importance of some of this amenities for our guests. This apartment does not have A/C as you stated in your review. Unfortunately, some of this buildings were built so long ago that the possibilities to add this amenity is very slim due to permits and infrastructure. However, we carefully read all the information and the amenities in the apartment and there could not find such description.
