Thank you for the good review! As for our neighborhood, like most small southern Indiana towns, age has taken its toll on a few properties. Behind our house, across the street, is what was once a magnificent three story yellow brick house ( same yellow brick as used in the French Lick Hotel). It was supposedly built by the Chef at the French Lick Hotel who invented tomato juice. (Yes, tomato juice was invented at the French Lick Hotel.) This house, recently foreclosed does have tarps, covering part of its roof and its fate now is uncertain. However, it was recently purchased and we will hopefully see it refurbished.
Down the street from us, some neighbors, recently within the past month experienced a kitchen fire, that spread to the attic, and they too have placed a tarp on their roof while awaiting reparations .
On any weekend that our house is not rented out, we stay there. It is a very safe neighborhood.
Thank you once again for the kind words about our house. We hope this helps put your mind at ease about the neighborhood.
