Thanks for you feedback Mark. I did keep Mark waiting for maybe 15 minutes in the cold because I didn't know he was here. If he had called, I would have come straight out. But either way, I felt very guilty so offered some breakfast the next day (I don't offer breakfast as this is a homestay not a BNB).
I don't however agree that anything about my house is basic and no frills but I do appreciate everyone has an opinion. If you mean by basic and no frills, a beautiful and brand new bathroom and a kingsize double room then OK! It is almost a million pound property in the most beautiful and affluent area in Bristol (Clifton). Which is also the most expensive area outside of London. I also charge extra on a Saturday night because frankly, it really isn't worth the hassle and constant disruptions that I get. This is my only day off and I spend it running around after guests (I'm an accountant not a cleaner, receptionist, waiter, housemaid so trust me, the time I spend on guests, I am losing a lot more revenue in my business.) So really, if it was that expensive, you would have booked somewhere else.
I understand you can get a BNB in Bournemouth for around £30 but that is certainly not the case in Bristol. You're looking at over £120 on the weekend and if you book at short notice, you don't have a chance of getting a hotel.
So in conclusion, I am not sure how much you expect to pay for a brand new renovated million pound property with a beautiful and brand new private bathroom (and brand new main bathroom) .
But I do appreciate feedback and you are always welcome back.
