In my listing I mentioned there is no microwave. People should carefully read the description of the unit and make sure they are happy with what they will get. Second, there is a gas stove with 4 burners to boil water and there is a water tower that gives instant hot water. All you have to do is switch the button on. As for the noise, the unit is situated on the main sea side road and right in front of the beach. Due to the world cup and sometimes summer events, Saturday nights can be loud. If you are looking for a country side unit situated in a remote place with no neighbors this unit is not for you. In addition, the person mentioned to me the microwave issue, I told her I would go buy one and she said not to worry about it. The person was not honest with her review. Also, if you leave any kind of food or small crumbs, ants will come. The unit is situated in the Mediterranean and the summer season can attract ants if you leave food out side. As for the bells on Sunday, the unit is situated near a Church and they ring bells on Sunday. In the event someone passes away in the town, the church will announce it at 7:30 am. There are some religious traditions in Lebanon that may seem foreign to westerners. The Beach is clean and safe for Lebanese standards. The municipality picks up the trash 4 times a week and the restaurant picks up trash and changes the bags everyday. Sometimes trash from the ocean my wash up on shore but this only happens when the sea is very agitated. The municipality then picks it up. Please understand Lebanon is a war torn country full of corruption and lack of governance. Lebanon might not be the right country for you to visit if you are use to North American or European standards.
