Set within the grounds of large country house set in 3 acres, both have separate entrances, secure parking and completely self contained... if you don't want to see us you don't!

We're 8kms from Ste Mere Eglise & Carentan - 10 minutes from Utah Beach & in the heart of the Park Naturel.

Utah Beach & Regional Park: Set in Normandy within Cotentin and Bessin Marshlands Regional Natural Park which covers 145,000 hectare with 144 villages and towns within the Park. WW2 Utah Beach the Invasion beach, located less than 10 minutes from us, is a significantly important coastal protected area of 12,000 acres with the Beauguillot Nature Reserve/Bird Sanctuary of 1,200 acres.
The area is stunning countryside and completely different each season. For example in the winter the marshlands flood to create a beautiful watery scenery with the big skies reflected, then in the summer it becomes pasture with cows peacefully grazing.
This coast being slightly wilder than the west coast is very unspoilt especially with the government owning vast tracts of the coast line to preserve the natural beauty.
This area in Normandy is also famous for it’s horses with numerous stud farms and training stables. On Utah Beach world class Trotting Horses are trained everyday on the beach.

The beaches and seafood: There is something for everyone, bird watchers, beach lovers, gourmets, wine lovers, walkers, bike riders, horse riders, wind surfers, sand yachters, sailing, diving, horse racing, interest in the 2nd world war Normandy Landing Beaches, 101st Airborne or just generally exploring…the problem here is that there is too much to do!
Yet in the summer the beaches are paradise, miles and miles of golden sands a perfect spot for a peaceful read, a sun bathe or beach combing, shell fish gathering for your supper when the tide is out, it's safe to swim and it's not crowded. With the bird sanctuary on Utah Beach there is an amazing number of different species of sea birds and ducks If it is particularly quiet on the beach you may be able to spot the colony of seals.

Huge mussels and oysters beds with the produce destined for the finest restaurants and tables in Paris and other gourmet destinations – it is possible to purchase shellfish direct from the farm shops locally

Cycling & Walking & Invasion Beaches: We are set in the heart of the Normandy D Day Invasion beaches with WW2 Utah Beach 10 minutes away, Ste Mere Eglise & Carentan both 8 kms from us & as we are 2 minutes from N13 we are in an ideal location for easy access to go sight seeing, war tours etc.

Bayeux, Mont St Michel are just short drives away, it is even possible to go to Jersey for the day from here!

Animals - We're know as Arc de Noah here in our village! we have 2 Llamas 3 Alpacas, a kune kune pet pigs, 2 very friendly goats, 2 sheep, lots and lots of bantam & silkie chickens all at liberty, 1 goose, 2 turkeys, 3 young Jack Russell's that live for visitors & 8 rescue cats.

Cycling or walking holidays...1,000 km of trails for cycling with one of the 22km routes starting outside our gate!

If you like local produce then there are many farms open to the general public, where you can see the produce being made and buy some to take home. It's possible to have tours round the Camembert factories.

You have the garden, with 2 gazebos and BBQ, you can interact with our creatures, we do have 3 nutty Jack Russell's with one of them Madge who is completely obsessed with balls and playing and as far as she is concerned all visitors are here for one reason & that is to play with her! The complete apartment, off road secure parking, a clicker for the electric gates so you can come & go without ringing the bell.

We are here if you want to interact with us, but if you want to be left alone you don't see us unless you want entirely up to you, we live here so we are equally as happy to mix or keep to ourselves!

We are in the countryside right opposite the church - so we have church bells, cockerels and a donkey who lives in the next field to us - he does bray.

We're a British couple, together for over 32 years & living full time here in Normandy for the past 16 years.
Mike a former photo journalist ...I'm not sure if there are many countries he hasn't visited & I trained and worked as Hotel Manager then went onto owning a small recruitment agency in London.
We're young 60's, (new 40's I'm told & sincerely hope is true!)...
Our rental vacation properties, are in an area of great historic interest in the heart of WW2 Landing have a choice, Beach, Town or Country...a beach house on Utah Beach 10 minutes away, a historic town house in Sainte Marie du Mont or a cottage & barn apartment for couples only here on our little 'farm' where we keep our creatures to include 4 dogs, 8 cats, 2 Llamas, 3 Alpacas, 2 sheep, 2 goats, a kune kune pig, 20 or so chickens, and 1 goose... but PLEASE do not book here at the farm if you don't like animals or have any allergies (the dogs are convinced you are here for 1 reason only...for them!) We have 2 properties opposite the church...they have a bell tower, with spookily enough a bell that rings, at the farm we're in the countryside so there are things like cockerels and in the field next to us a donkey...Stavros who has the loudest bray in Normandy! He's not our donkey, but he thinks he is!!

I knit, sometimes using the Alpaca wool), embroider, enjoy making soft furnishings...I'm told I'm a good cook. Mike loves his motor racing, cars and keen student of WW2 and has a 1940 he is presently rebuilding Jeep. We both enjoy a good movie, but our main enjoyment is when we have folk to stay that like nothing better than explore the area, are interested in all it has to offer and are here to enjoy themselves...we are both passionate about this hidden area of Normandy and the history, we love nothing better than when we have the honour to meet and host WW2 veterans and their families which we've done many times over the years.
