Warm luxury 3000 sq/foot four bedroom home with amazing views of the hill. Home Again trail is two minutes away for access to one of the best ski hills in the USA. Everything your family wants for a luxury holiday in the mountains.
The place was exactly as described. Very close to ski in/ski out. Hot tub is shared with two other units. We had an issue with the toilet backing up on our first day - the property manager left it up to us to track down a plumber. This was a bit annoying and since we were there on a weekend, no one could come until after we checked out on Monday.
The unit is large as described. Easily able to handle our party of 12. The biggest plus about this place was that it was clean, all the appliances worked, and it was fully stocked. It had plenty of trash bags, laundry detergent, towels, cutlery, etc. It was about a 45 minute drive to the west glacier entrance. The two areas for improvement are getting a larger water heater and updating the TV. There was not enough hot water for a full house to use. As a matter of fact, there was never hot water at all. It went from pretty warm water to super cold in a matter of 3-4 people showering. So many people ended up taking cold showers or having to wait a few hours. Maybe a tankless water heater would be a good solution. Second suggestion is updating the TV and surround system. It's an old tube TV and sound system is not very good at all. Sound is muffled and distorted. All I wanted to do was play a DVD, and that was very hit and miss, as the DVD player did not work correctly. There is a hot tub, but it is shared by two other units (wish we knew this before). We didn't use it after seeing random kids swimming in there. Upon checking out the host hit me with a $500 cleaning fee for "trashing" the place, without providing any specifics. As my previous reviewers noted, I am a clean person. I have a feeling it was due to the enormous amount of bed sheets and towels that needed to be washed after our party of 12 left. I thought that was very unfair. Per his agreement, it stated that all towels and sheets be placed downstairs by the washing machine. As you can imagine, the towels and bed sheets for 12 people can create quite the pile. Nonetheless, it is not my responsibility to wash towels and bed sheets (per his agreement). That is the hosts job, and based upon the additional fee request, I'm wondering if they actually wash linens and towels between reservations at all. There's no denying, washing everything for such a large place is a big task, but that goes with the territory, especially after charging $4500 for one week, and the mandatory $250 cleaning fee that is already included. I'm a property owner, so I know $250 is more than sufficient to clean a 3000 square foot property. Overall I did have a good time. However, the request for additional funds was unfair and a huge turnoff. In the future, its not worth the stress of wondering whether random fees will be assessed when you leave.
