This 1 bedroom apartment is located in the very heart of Paris, few blocks away from the Louvre Museum, the Seine river, the Marais. Enjoy the private terrace, the quirky charm of a country cottage sitting on top of a 17th century old building with all modern amenities!

At your disposal is a romantic nest in the very heart of the City of Light.

The 39 m2 (approx 420 ft2) one bedroom apartment is on the 5th floor (or US 6th floor) WITHOUT ELEVATOR of a 17th century building where the private doctor of Louis XIV used to live.
The apartment can comfortably accommodate 2 people with a full size bed in the bedroom, and the sofa in the living room can be converted into a bed - perfectly sized for two kids for instance sharing same bed.

There is a separated and fully equipped kitchen with:
- full size fridge where you can store fresh food from nearby markets
- induction cooktop to prepare your own meal
- Nespresso machine, Nespresso capsules, French-press coffee maker, Magimix toaster and electric kettle for the perfect breakfast
- selection of teas (Kusmi, TWG, Lipton)
- washer-dryer
- dishwasher
- microwave-grill oven to reheat your take out from French gourmet deli to eat on the large dinning table or outside on your private terrace overlooking Paris' rooftops.

Remember you are in Paris, space is a luxury. The bathroom is tiny. It is the size of a walking closet, and is accessible via the kitchen. It is big enough to have a decent shower size, and it has a space for a vanity sink. You can enjoy shower products from AESOP, eau de toilette from Hermes and Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

The toilet is separated from the bathroom, and is located right outside the apartment door, but within the compound of the 5th and 6th floor apartments. It is a private toilet for your use only and you have access with your own private key. You don't share it with any neighbor, the 6th floor apartment has its own toilet.

Other amenities:
- Fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils, dishes, & cutlery
- Hair dryer
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Linens & Towels
- Umbrella
- DVD player - plays European DVDs only
- DVDs: Selection of English-language and foreign films
- Flat Screen TV
- Sonos Play sound system

After a long day visiting Paris, you can enjoy taking a nice shower and then relax in the living room watching TV, or snoozing on the full size bed or surfing internet with your wifi device.
If you prefer music, no problem, just download the Sonos app and enjoy your playlist as well as many internet radio stations via the Sonos sound system throughout the apartment.

The apartment is located in the 1st arrondissement, at 5 minutes walk from the Louvre museum, 10 minutes from the Palais Royal, the Beaubourg museum, the Pont-Neuf, Ile de la Cite, rue Montorgueil, 15 minutes from the Marais and Saint-Germain. Lots of very nice restaurants and bars are within 1 minutes walk like the infamous Spring, the scenic Kong restaurant designed by Philippe Starck, or La Dame de Pic by renowned Chef Anne-Sophie Pic.

Nearby Attractions:
- All of Central Paris
- Beaubourg / Centre Georges Pompidou
- Boulangeries, pâtisseries, fromageries, boucherie (butcher), fresh fruit stall
- Hôtel de Ville
- Ile St. Louis
- Le Marais
- Louvre
- Montorgueil Market
- Notre Dame

The nearby metro stations are Louvre-Rivoli which is on the very popular line 1, and Chatelet-Les Halles which is the central Parisian metro/RER hub with direct links to Paris CDG and ORY airports and/or TGV train stations.

a) As mentioned, don't forget there is NO elevator in this 17th century building.
b) There is NO air conditioning either.
c) Also, since the 5th floor used to be the housemaids rooms, the PRIVATE/DEDICATED toilet for the apartment is actually outside the apartment, right next to the entrance door though. Only you can have access to the toilet with private keys.
d) To keep privacy and security, there is a communal door before the apartment's door. It is shared only with the tenant on the 6th floor.

Merci et a bientôt !

Lovely and idyllic real Parisian apartment with excellent location. I appreciate very much the high flexibility in checking in and -out. Good communication. And the terrace of course was magnificent. Good value for the money.

Quentin was an amazing host. We chose this place because of location and the beautiful terrace not knowing that there was so much more in store. A week before we arrived, Quentin sent me detailed directions from the airport for the train or taxi. He even provided prices! When we did arrive, Quentin had someone let us in (much earlier than check in) and give us a tour of the place. There was a binder with all the apartment information including a map and list of the local restaurants, grocery, boulangeries, and wine stores in the area. It was our first time in Paris, and we felt confident in this big city. There were 4 of us and a baby, and we loved how central we were to all the sights. Quentin even provided us with coffee, orange juice and lots of water bottles when we arrived. We had very easy communication with our host and I would love to come back and stay here again. Thank you Quentin for everything!

Quentin was a wonderful, thoughtful host, who stayed in touch throughout the booking process and during our stay. We loved the apartment, which was even more charming and well-stocked than the pictures suggested, from the sunny terrace to the adorably efficient kitchen to the vintage armoire of sweet dishes and glassware. There was also great closet/cabinet space to store your clothes and suitcases, and the apartment gets plenty of light. The building is quiet and secure, and we didn't mind the stairs at all. The location was also perfect--great restaurants and shopping nearby, and an easy, short walk to the Louvre, the Seine, the Tuileries, the Marais, and across the bridge to St. Germain. We walked everywhere from this location, and used the boats on the Seine to go farther away, but it also would have been easy and close to use the metro. A perfect spot, probably the best airbnb I have ever rented.

The apartment is an absolute gem in the heart of Paris! It has a lovely balcony/roof top terrace and with a five-mihnute walk to Louvre, the Seine and other beatiful sights the location couldn't be more perfect. Quentin was a great host and very easy to communicate with. If you're going to Paris, this is the perfect place to get a unique and local experience!

This was my first Airbnb experience and it was fantastic! This lovely apartment looked exactly as represented in the photos and description, was immaculate, and provided high quality essentials (appliances, bedding, furnishings) as well as thoughtful extras such as welcoming beverages and toiletries. Quentin was extremely helpful with details for negotiating the city via email and text and very thoughtfully checked in several times to see how I was doing. The apartment also had a ringbinder with information on local sights and restaurants, as well as using the appliances (very helpful if you've never used a combo washer/dryer!) The location of the apartment was perfect for exploring any neighborhood of Paris on foot as well as being close to one of the major Metro hubs, and I felt completely safe walking alone at night. I can't praise Quentin and this flat enough and will certainly book it again when I return. Also: don't be put off by the lack of elevator: the stairs aren't all that steep and after 1-2 days, I didn't hardly think about them at all.
