The apartment was nice, our only problem was there was no interaction with the host. We were met by someone who must of not known who we were and someone other than the host. He proceeded to yell at us because he didn't speak our language. It was a bit traumatizing, especially being young girls not knowing much about the area. It was Easter weekend and I booked the place because, previously, it had said that there was wireless internet. However, there was none, simply because there was no Ethernet cable attached to the wall. I would've never booked this place if I had known. My friends couldn't send a Happy Easter to their loved ones. Thankfully, I had data on my phone so I messaged the host twice about the missing cable, but received no reply. Also, we didn't really have specific amenities which you wouldn't think a problem until you try to get by without them. No sponge to wash dishes with, no coffee grounds for the coffee machine, and the blinds for the bedroom windows were broken. It was the worst Airbnb accommodation I've had so far. We wouldn't have had such a problem if we were able to keep in contact with the host and not been yelled at by the man who said that his only job was to open the door for us.

Luckily there are a lot of other and positive feedbacks on the flats in the condo Ceula and especially on lovely Mr. Barletta, the housekeeper and troubleshooter for everything! Dear Catlin, why dont you mention that you arriving by train didnt comunicate clearly which train was yours (obviously picking you at the train station is an act of "gentilesse" from Mr. Barletta and certainly not his duty) not waiting as agreed at the platform but taking immediately and impatiently a taxi to the flat? Mr. Barletta is not at all the yelling type, he speaks fairly well English but didnt understand yours because of your strong accent, a mix of Californian and Chinese english. By the way: the instructions of the flat say clearly who is Mr. Barletta and that he is not the host. You couldnt send easter greetings to your beloved ones though Levanto is full of free wifi-spots? Why messagging to me three times about a missing cable which doesnt exist at all as there is a router? Missing amenities? No coffee grounds? No sponge? What do you expect else from an airbnb-location paying less than the price of a communitz-room in a hostel ( you were 5 persons to divide a whole apartment) pretending a five-star hotel accomodation? Finally: the blinds are not broken, it seems you just dont know how open and close Italian blinds. My advice: be more careful with your judgements as "verba scripta manent".

The appartment is well located close to the train station and the town center. The appartment is very clean and we have been well received. It is possible to rent a parking in the flat which is very useful. Very happy about our stay.

This Levanto apartment is small, but comfortable. Signor Barletta and his wife were very helpful. Signor Barletta was expecting us and rented us a garage in the apartment complex. We were 2 adults and two children which did just work. There again the weather was excellent and we spent time at the beach.

Our interaction with Linda was much like her apartment: plain and without warm touches. She was not welcoming and seemed only to care what exact time we would arrive and when we would be leaving. For example, Linda said she would arrange a ride from the train station with the caretaker, but he did not come to pick us up. Nor did he drop us off at the end of our stay; we had to walk uphill will our bags to the station. The apartment itself is extremely basic. It is in a simple concrete condo building without nice amenities (no internet, cheap furniture). There are no items in the kitchen, no soaps and even the blankets were rough. The "view of the hills" from the "terrace" was really a second-floor view of the street. I had specifically asked Linda if there was a hairdryer, but there was no hairdryer to be found. Levanto is unfortunately very small and boring and, despite what the guidebooks say, is full of tourists. We would not go back to Levanto and would certainly not go back to this apartment. I highly recommend splurging a bit on a nicer place in one of the five Cinque Terre towns, or better yet, just stay in Rome or Florence.

I am very surprised of this feedback which doesn´t relate at all to the real conditions of the apartment and the surroundings, the fotos on the ad refering to Casa Adami DUE are real and I think they say a lot on their own without needing to rectify espressions as "plain and without warm touches". I dont know with which attitude the host dares to consider the furniture "cheap", nor do I understand what is bad about a "simple concrete condo"? Being from New York, the host should be used to this. If I was worrying about the arrival time, because I had to ask several times and that after a booked 3 day stay had been cancelled into a two day stay asking even a refund!!! Apparently the host didnt want to leave Rome where he was before, and may be the hords of tourists in Rome or Florence are less (?) than in Levanto. To call Levanto a boring town and prefer the turistically overcrowded towns of 5Terre means to have not understood anything. The arrogant attitude towards Mr.Barletta who does the check-in gives the rest and we can only say: we don´t need hosts who think they will do a bargain and claim to be treated as in a 5 star hotels. Fortunately many other hosts DO understand and apreciate our efforts, including the amenities and surroundings.
