Welcome to Casita de la Vaca, a casa rural situated in the Lecrin Valley with three different rooms available. This cosy room is accessed directly from the courtyard and is decorated in a fresh, blue and white theme with an Andalusian twist.
This a traditional village house that has been recently updated and is situated in a small and welcoming barrio within walking distance of Mondujar and Talara and with excellent transport links, being within a km of the main Granada - Motril (coast) A44 main road. Lovingly restored and set around a secluded inner courtyard, we have two rooms on the ground floor, one with a private entrance through the courtyard and a completely independent, large studio apartment. We also offer free Wifi throughout the house.
There is an en-suite shower room with large shower, TV, Wifi, fan, electric heater, tea/coffee making facilities and your own front entrance with table and chairs outside for you to take in the early morning air, or relax in the evening. A fridge freezer and area for the preparation of cold food is provided. For those chiller winter months, guests also have access to the guest lounge with wood burning stove, games and reading library.
This room would be suitable for a single person.

My partner and I came out to Spain in 2011 with our then 2 year old daughter. At a time when the Euro zone was in the middle of the crisis there were quite a few raised eyebrows on our decision to go for it. Nevertheless we believed it was now or never, it was the right time for us so we took the plunge and left by boat from Portsmouth harbour with a car packed to the ceiling and roof box bulging!.... and so the adventure began....
After a year travelling with our small child and a tent around Spain we finally settled on the region we previously knew and fell in love with years ago... Granada, el Valle de Lecrin and Las Alpujarras. With the white washed villages, Moorish architecture, pulsing flamenco, Spanish guitar, gastronomic cuisine, tapas culture and not to mention the breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, we couldn't find a better place in which to settle down and set up our guesthouse. Casita de la Vaca was previously used (by our neighbour) to house cows and has since had a total renovation retaining some interesting original features in relation to its previous use. Lovingly restored we are proud to welcome you to our home and look forward to your visit in the future.
Why we think you should come and stay with us?.....On the edge of the Sierra Nevada national park you can enjoy amazing mountain views, in fact you can walk from our front door straight up to the GR7 walkers route which traverses Europe. Whilst we enjoy a rural location we have excellent road links being within 1 km of the A44 Granada-Motril road. You can therefore reach the Alhambra and Granada city in 20 minutes, Lanjaron and Las Alpujarras in 10 minutes and the beaches of the Costa Tropical; Salobrena, Almunecar and La Herradura are all between 20-35 minutes drive away. At Casita de la Vaca our aim is to provide our guests with good value quality accommodation so our prices are for room rate only. We provide access to a communal fridge and food preparation area so you can prepare your own breakfast/ light supper or eat out at one of the many local bars or restaurants.
