Cherrywood Neighborhood, or what AirBNB calls Upper Boggy Creek is great for many reasons. 1) Laid back, friendly feel. 2) Quiet, yet lively. 3) Great Eat, Drinks and Open Spaces that are easily accessible. 4) Lots of trees and safe walk-able streets.
Many Capital Metro (bus / rail) stops are scattered around the apartment and can get you where your going, anywhere around the city for a low cost. Uber, Lyft and Yellow Cab are also always available for a fee. If riding a bike is your thing, send us a message and I can offer you a bicycle rental (with helmet).
Please be respectful to the apartment and to our neighbors and neighborhood, especially with regard to noise. We allow absolutely no smoking. No pets are allowed on the premises.
Security deposit will be held until after an accounting on the unit's material items is taken. Please do not take anything from the apartment with you when you leave as it makes it difficult for us to maintain it for other guests checking in after you.
The apartment was delightful! Just as described - clean, well furnished, bright and cozy. Tadd was helpful and kind. He gave us some nice recommendations for good music shows and nearby places to eat. He even offered to lend us tool for a minor car repair we made on our daughter's car! The neighborhood is sweet - residential and felt safe. We walked to many places from the apartment without reservation.
Very comfortable apartment in a nice location -- had a peaceful and productive week. Tadd was a great host. Enjoyed the happy hour at The Salty Sow on Manor Road. For runners, heading up to Mueller Lake Park is nice too.
Exactly what we needed. The space was clean, comfortable and just as advertised. Tadd was a great host - always available and incredibly hospitable. Cherrywood is such a cute neighborhood and I would stay here again when visiting the city.
Ted's place was great. It had everything I needed for my first trip to Austin. He was super friendly and a very gracious guest. Plenty of off street parking. Neighborhood and surrounding areas felt very safe. I walked from the house through campus to downtown. It's a good walk, but a great way to see that side of Austin. There is a great coffee shop within a short (less than 5 min) walk. Will definitely return to Austin and stay at Ted's place again.
Cute, comfortable place in quiet and leafy East (website hidden) and family were very welcoming and helpful in settling you in and then are happy for you to do as you please. The place has everything you'd need for either a short or long stay. It's a bit of a distance to downtown/South Congress and, although bus coverage is good in the area, a car would get you to those places easiest. However, you can just walk to the bars/restaurants on Manor Rd. Or getting to the East Six area is no hassle by bus. Overall, a great introduction to the city.
This apartment was great. We rented it for my wife's mother, who was visiting to meet our newborn. She loved the place, and would definitely stay there again. The host was very helpful. He answered our questions quickly, and met us in person to give us the keys and walk us through the apartment.
Everything was clean and ready to go for our stay. The location was great - in our case a short walk to our house. But it's also a wonderful location in general. It's a great neighborhood, quiet and private, but very close to downtown and - more importantly - grocery stores and other places where my MIL could pick up things we needed for the newborn and ourselves.
My immediate family is coming to visit later this Summer, and we'll definitely be looking to book this apartment if it's available.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
