The backyard is shared space. There's a BBQ grill and patio furniture.

The carriage house is in Baker neighborhood, which is a historic Denver neighborhood. While the carriage house is a new addition, the main house was built in 1880's. The location can't be beat - it's within blocks of all the amenities of South Broadway: Sweet Action ice cream, Happy Coffee, Historian Ale House, Mayan Movie Theater, Beatrice and Woodsley, Trve Brewery, and tons of other unique shops, tasty restaurants, and fun bars, all with a local feel. The Santa Fe Arts District and several other local breweries are within walking distance as well. Downtown and all the sports stadiums are within easy bike / bus / light rail rides.
There is a B-cycle bike station within blocks of the house. B-cycles are bikes that can be rented (for a few hours or a few days) with a simple credit card swipe. There are stations throughout the city, so you can use a bike to get to your destination, turn it in, and then check out another one to go to the next place.
There are also usually tons of car2go cars around the neighborhood as well. It's an easy car share program where you only pay for the time you use. If you'll be in Denver for a few days, it's worth checking out.

There is a SMALL space to park in the alley up against the carriage house. If you have a large vehicle, you will have to use street parking. Generally, it isn't hard to find parking on Ellsworth, Bannock or Irvington. We are not responsible if your car is towed for any reason, e.g. (i) it's in the alley where it shouldn't be, (ii) it's parked illegally on the street, or (iii) something else. Note: None of our guests have had their car towed, so I wouldn't anticipate a problem.

We prefer to book at least two days on the weekends.
The carriage house is above a garage. The garage door is relatively quiet, and it's unlikely that it would be opening after 10pm or before 8am.
We have a dog, who you might see from time to time in the backyard. He's small, friendly and generally very quiet (particularly once you've said hi).
No smoking anywhere on the premises.
