Marvin , I'm sorry but out of our many guests, you’re the only one to say that you’ve had the “worst experience ever”. We have reasons for asking that the key be left in the the lock box (which you did NOT do). Mainly because past guests have lost the key or got locked out so we ask them the keep the key in the lock box only when they leave for the day. What's so difficult about that? Also, our listing states we're located in Orange. We are by train or car considered a short ride into the city. 30 minutes by car, less 20 by train. VERY TRUE. If you want something in NY, book in NY or try (Hidden by Airbnb) maps next time. In addition, I NEVER accused you of stealing our hand made glass coasters but it was there at check in. I only let you know it was missing and asked if you or one of the other men packed it but mistake. It was probably dropped and broken like our nice soap dispenser which we found in the shower. Not sure why someone used hand soap to take a shower but it was left with the nozzle broken off and no one said anything. Not cool. That combined with the coaster is the reason for the charge. Those items have to be replaced. Also you only booked for two ppl. We have a regular full sized bed and additional beds are off the floor air mattress. That IS mentioned in our listing. Perhaps next time you shouldn't book a studio apartment for three grown men, you should get a bigger space. You also left the apartment smoky from the pizza you burnt and left on our counter. Again, not cool. Yes, parking is difficult late at night but that’s usual in most neighborhoods so no, we don’t have a garage but that’s also listed in the listing. Our street is 95% homes, not apartments. The neighborhood is more than FINE. No one bothers anyone and they’re all working class people that has never bothered each other or our guests. We’re good people with a great space and we treat our guests very well. We have nice items in the apartment and we want to keep it that way! I wouldn’t have charge you for something if I didn’t have to. Simple enough, if you break something, say something and expect to ask for money to replace it.
Sorry for YOUR experience but think twice before leaving such nasty and false comments.
