Robin and Peter were both there to greet us, and had the feeling that we had known them all of our lives. The house was perfect for our needs. Felt very comfortable for the entire stay. The location couldn't have been better. Highly recommend it, and will definitely be back again! 5 Stars!!!!!
It was our second Airbnb stay and it couldn`t have been better. Everything was exactly like it is on their website. Robin and Peter are really friendly and helpful people, even droping off our luggage to store it two days before our stay wasn`t a problem.
The room is on the lower level, so our clothes felt pretty moist in the morning and our towels didn`t dry at all, so we had to let the window open all the time.
But anyway, our room was very big, we had a lot of space and the bed is very comfortable. Our room and the commom area were very clean and tidy. And of course the location.... it`s just perfect! Only a few houses from the commercial drive and only a 10 minutes walk to the next skytrain station.
We loved our stay at Peter and Robins house and would definitely stay there again.
Many reasons to love – and highly recommend – Quiet Oasis. Robin and Peter’s house is on a tree-lined street in a peaceful neighbourhood, but it’s also close to interesting shops and good places to eat with a Skytrain station and a bus route nearby. Our room was very comfortable and a lot of care has been taken to organise the house so that guests can share the space – we felt really welcome. Whatever we were doing in the city, we always enjoyed starting with breakfast in the lovely kitchen, meeting the other guests, or sitting on the deck with green gardens all around (we did have excellent weather!) Although we didn’t have the chance to meet Robin and Peter while we were there, they were wonderfully helpful when we were making our booking. We do hope that we’ll have the chance to visit again one day! Judith and Jess (August 2014)
Robin was right there waiting at the door to greet us when we arrived. She made sure to even make arrangements through email before we got there to make sure we would be able to get into the house if it was too early. This was our first airbnb experience and we did not know what to expect. Robin was very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We kept missing each other the week we were there, but finally got to have a nice chat on our last night as waited for our early morning flight. The common area was a nice place to relax and there were plenty of books to read while there. The spacious kitchen was especially enjoyable. Having grown up in Vancouver, it was great to be so close to a neighbourhood such as Commercial Drive, but it was even better to be able to get to stay with such people in such a place. I highly recommend staying with Robin and Peter if you have the chance :)
Everything was the way it was shown in the website. Everything was perfect and could not ask for better than this. Robin was waiting for us till midnight to welcome us at home. Even they gave us a fan because the wether was very hot. And she gave us all the information how to travel around the Vancouver .
And at the time of leaving she helped us as well. I definitely recommend Peter and Robin's place to stay in Vancouver.
This was our first Airbnb experience. Robin and Peter we're away on a fishing trip the weekend we arrived but we were greeted by Faith, who was looking after the house. We instantly felt welcome and comfortable in the house and was provided with everything that we needed. Our room was perfect, the shared communal area and particularly the kitchen was amazing! We ate breakfast, to which Robin and Peter kindly provided, in their lovely kitchen every morning and on the last day enjoy breakfast outside on their patio as the weather was too good to be inside. On top of that, their house is steps away from one of the best streets in Vancouver.
We final met Robin and Peter on the day before we were leaving town and what a friendly, kind and welcoming couple they are! I couldn't have been any happier with our stay and would recommend Robin and Peters home any day but not just because of how nice there house is but because of how lovely they were too!
Thank you both!

Peter was born in Montreal and I hail from Halifax, but we've lived in Vancouver for the past 25 years and raised our 3 sons here. We love travellers - perhaps because we've both lived overseas growing up. Peter is a software engineer and I am a counsellor. I think you will find us relaxed and easygoing, and our beautiful 100 year old home very comfortable.
