Robert was such a great host! He gave us some great tips of what to see around town and was very knowledgeable of savannah. Would definitely stay here again.
Robert's place in Savannah is something really special. It's a gorgeous building and the room and bathroom are both very spacious and comfortable. The things that made the stay for us, though, were Robert and his wife and their knowledge of the local area. Robert had prepared maps of the key things to see and do in Savannah, along with local listings of events and live music during the week we were there. He didn't steer us wrong once - better than any guidebook! We had a fantastic time, from seeing the sites to relaxing on the porch.
Staying with Robert was a fantastic experience. We took an overnight train to Savannah, arriving around 7:30 a.m. Robert agreed to let us drop off our things well before the scheduled check-in time. He also shared his personal "to-do" map along with many personal (website hidden). His home is beautiful and clean. We easily walked everywhere we wanted to go. We're very glad we chose to stay here for our first trip to Savannah.
Robert was a wonderful host and a great source of information about the Historic District. His home and rooms capture the feeling of the area. It is located in a quiet area near the park and and within walking distance or a short ride from the historic attractions and restaurants.
I would recommend a visit to Savannah and a stay with Robert.
Robert was welcoming, helpful, wonderful. Sadly I had a bicycle accident during my stay and he immediately brought me ice and offered multiple assistance with issues. It was truly like staying at a friend's!
Robert was very nice from the get go, he was extremely informative and gave us suggestions on where to go, what to eat, see, etc. The room was exactly how it was portrayed online, and having a private bathroom with a coffee maker was definitely a plus. His porch was one of our favorite parts, lots of places to sit and we met his friendly outdoor cat that greeted us when we would leave and come back at the end of the day. It's on a quiet street and only a beautiful 15 minute walk to downtown Savannah.
This house is great. Love the room because of simple things that other places do not think of. There is a easy to reach plug on a side table to recharge your phones. Both sides of the bed have tables. The bathroom is large and well stocked with coffee and tea service.
You have a fridge on a table that's easy to reach in. Slept well on the bed! All the previous reviews with good things to say about our host Robert are correct. I LOVED the front porch. Read early in the AM and in the evening. Tinkerbell, the porch cat and I made friends. Took my morning 3 mile walk down the Bay street and back. Walked to Restaurants easily. Add The Liberty Street Grill to recommendations for great food, casual atmosphere, and Great Service!
