The house is busy and VERY lived in! The floors are worn, the paint is peeling, the house is not ever emaculate and with kids, dogs, food truck rally prep, etc., if you want to stay in a hotel, stay in a hotel cuz this ain't!!! The Garden of Sisyphus is a work in progress, DT Halifax or Peggy's cove 20 minutes away, great sunsets, and trails nearby, fun fun fun

0.5 Km from the St. Margarets Bay trail, water sports on the bay.
We have two kayaks and swings to sit on over the water. Fire pit down on the wharf. The upstairs bedroom is SMALL and the bed is a double, downstairs there is a futon and a couch and there's my daughters bedroom that she's willing to give up to guests for a price.

We have our kids here 50% of the time, a 15 and 16 year old, fashion and video games.

We also have a mobile smokehouse and BBQ and a food truck that operates downtown and at events.

The living room has a piano and guitars and some tropical plants that we've been caring for and growing over the years.

Interazione con gli ospiti

We would love to interact with our guests.
We ask each guest to bring the largest rock they can, then write your name, where you are from and the date and add it to the garden.

Altre cose da evidenziare

The bed is only a double in a small room, the mattress is very comfortable.

Had a fantastic time at this amazing place. Lynn and Jason gave us the heads up about some repairs and their very active schedule. We loved all of it - the kayaks, dock, swimming, evening campfires, and the warm, casual kindness of fun people. Highly recommend for adventurous travelers. Just wish we had remembered to bring a rock...

Loved everything about the place! The dog, the hammock in the backyard, the basket of goodies in the guest room, and Lynn was very nice. They have a lot of projects going on so the house is sort of a little beehive, but always tidy and clean and quiet at night time.

Jason and Lynn are very warm and welcoming people! I felt super comfortable and at home. I was biking from Halifax to Lunenburg and this was a perfect stop along the way. I slept like a baby!

Great location, with a beautiful view of the sunset. Hanging out on the dock watching the sunset with a fire was a relaxing way to end the day. Thanks Jason for taking time out of your day to hang on the dock!

We couldn't imagine a better Nova Scotia experience than what we had at Jason and Lynn's. They have a beautiful home with expansive views of the bay, and they generously allowed us to borrow their kayaks where we paddled the clear and calm waters. And we even saw a bald eagle! In the evening, Jason built us a fire in the pit on the deck - it was wonderful. We also enjoyed seeing Jason's ongoing rock art project using stones from all over the world. And we also spent time with Jack (their dog) who loves playing fetch. Our dog Mabel loved following Jack down to the shore and getting her feet wet too :) We had breakfast down the road at the White Sails Bakery - it was very good. Communication beforehand with Lynn was helpful and friendly, and she gave us valuable recommendations on our next stop at PEI, and gave offered the use of her kitchen as well. We would definately stay here again, it was very comfortable and welcoming.
