EVERYONE READ THIS RESPONSE!! Sarah is one of the worst guests we have ever had in any of our 29 listings. We have a reputation for attending to any guests needs efficiently and timely.
In response to her review. We ask all of our guests to treat our property as if it is their own. Neat and tidy with items returned to their original position. We did not suggest in any way that you need to clean the house as you pay a cleaning fee for that(You did not clean as there was trash and it was very sandy). As for the properties, we check them ourselves before and after each guest. According to the General Contractor and Owner of the construction down the alley there was only interior plumbing and electrical for 4 of your days of occupancy. This work produces very little noise.

Sarah initially refused to sign Confirmation Contract which lists our rules and guidelines during occupancy. Because her daughter had a medical problem they rescheduled to arrive on the 24th at 9:00AM. We left a lock box for her to enter the house. She phoned us screaming she was unable to find the cottage demanding that we take her to the cottage. Luckily one of us was a few blocks away. It took us 5 minutes to find her waiting in the alley. She was literally screaming at my associate, who was calm mannered taking the verbal abuse.
On the 26th she messaged that there were towels in the dryer. Our cleaner did not fold and put away the last load of towels. Within 5 minutes our cleaner was there, knocked on the door, no answer. So we called her, no answer. He had no choice, he came back later. We chose to take them away wash them and bring them back to her folded.
On the 28th she messaged she had been awakened by cement trucks and construction down the alley. Also the "shower head was so "busted" she couldn't even wash her hair and it was flooding the bathroom". I decided to go down to deal with her myself. Knock on the door, no answer, so I decided to just go check it. Nothing wrong with the shower head. It was working correctly. I decided to install a new shower head that had less pressure, a rain drop shower head. It was not broken the slightest bit. No construction evident this day. Just to point out her mental state, she writes a new message asking when we were at the property last and that she does not think I exist.
29th/30th were days of harassment and making outrageous claims saying the house is not clean, and that WE were yelling at her and that attention was not taken in a timely manner.
After her stay she requested to AirBNB 20% refund and Cleaning fee refund.
I contacted the GC and owner of the home down the alley.
24th-25th: No Construction
26th: Plumber installing pipes, no noise
27th- Plumbing installation
28th- Plumbing continues, electrician delivers materials
29th- Plumbing continues, electrician begins.
30th- Lite work
My next guests, 2 days later notified me the kitchen/garbage disposal/Washing machine/Dish Washer were clogged coming back up the pipes. I checked it, Food and garbage had clogged the pipes. I had my plumber snake the pipes. The air vent to the dishwasher was also disconnected, I fixed at no cost. I requested $35 to pay my plumber, She has declined to pay.
I feel bad for her 2 young daughters as my associate witnessed her screaming at them to unload the car when she first arrived. Hopefully she gets the mental help she needs.
