Great place with great location. The beach couldn't be nicer with waves big enough for surfing and spectacular views. Also very few people on the beach. The pools(plural) were perfect temperature had great seating and lounging options. The pools were also kid friendly with shallow areas for the little ones to hang out it without having to be arms length away. Check in was a snap, the place is very spacious, and we were even able to get a crib easily for our little one. The host, Juan Vicente is very responsive. Having the W hotel essentially in the Los Veneros complex was a HUGE perk. They have a tiki bar right on the beach, a great beach restaurant that you can use, and you are also allowed to use the paid spa services like massages and manicures. Los Veneros itself is pretty sleepy, but grabbing dinner or a drink at the W restaurant Spice at night makes you feel like you are in the mix a bit(they even had a DJ after 9pm). A few things to know, the place has great finishes, but the furniture does not actually match the place in terms of quality. Couch in the living room is pretty stained, but we laid some clean blankets on top of them for sitting which worked out fine. Beds and bedding are pretty basic and firm (IKEA level). There are wires hanging from where there should be a dining room light fixture which makes it feel a little unfinished, but there was plenty of other light. Biggest issue was that the water shut off on day 3 and day 4 of our stay. It just so happened that this is when we were trying to shower us and the kids and get to a dinner reservation at night and then in the morning when we were getting breakfast ready. Wife was about to make me leave and check into a hotel, but both times the water came back on within an 1-1.5 hours. Also note, icemaker in the fridge doesn't work so buy ice from the MEGA before you get there so that you can make margaritas on day 1. Make sure to rent a car if you are staying here since taxis from the resort are kind of a challenge.
