Hello, my name is James and I will be your host! I’ve lived and traveled all over the world, but I currently live on this magnificent Motor Yacht Boatel in Barcelona. I would be delighted to welcome you on board of our floating Boutique hotel and provide you with any help, recommendations or support you may need during your stay.

The 'Double Infinity' is a true 'Classic Gentleman's Motor Yacht'. The interior saloon is spacious, tastefully decorated and fully air conditioned.

The VIP Cabin is spacious and the largest of all cabins aboard. Located at the rear of the yacht with its own private access, it has a large double bed, built-in sofa, fitted wardrobes and plenty of storage space. There is also a TV and DVD player. The cabin is directly connected to the bathroom and air conditioning or heating as requested is available. Towels and toiletries are provided and beach towels are also available.

There is a wide range of modern conveniences available on board for your entertainment. You may choose a DVD from our large film library, listen to your favorite music or check your emails on our wireless Internet connection. The following is just a small list of amenities available to all guests on board: 3D surround sound TV, a Music Centre with a comprehensive CD library and Computer with Internet connection.

There are a number of common areas with plenty of room for socializing and dining. The spacious decks, cockpits and shaded resting areas provide ample space for lounging and relaxing. The experience of dining "al fresco" on a boat in the Mediterranean cannot be put into words easily, but if I had to single out just one word, it would have been 'unforgettable'. The area provides some of the world's finest culinary treats and all items in our menu are carefully hand selected from local markets. Catalonia is famed for its seafood, delicious fresh vegetables, and fruits, meats, and cheeses, spices, the rejuvenating olive oil as well as its world famous wines, such as Cava, among others.

Our Continental Style Breakfast consists of fresh bread, croissants, cheeses, meats, jams, honey, yogurts and fresh fruits all served with fruit juices, teas, and coffee. Lunch is light with fresh salads, bread, fruits and local delicacies. Dinner is usually served al fresco and is generally a nightly themed menu. Themes include Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Asian, Barbecue, and Seafood. A full bar and wine list are also available.

I live on the boat, so I am the person to welcome the guests on arrival, and makes sure they are comfortable and provide for all their needs.

Our Boatel is moored at Port Forum Marina, part of the Parc del Forum Barcelona. In the heart of the Diagonal Mar District near Forum Square, the second largest esplanade in the world after Tiananmen in China, Barcelona’s Port Forum marina offers the perfect combination of beach and attractive urban environment. In the summer there are concerts on the square and swimming pools with real or artificial seawater and throughout the year the many shops along Diagonal Avenue gather together thousands of visitors. The 20,000 m2 harbor encompasses the Diagonal Mar shopping center, an international congress center, offices, and a natural science museum with permanent and temporary exhibitions of plant and animal life. The Catalan sailing and diving federations are also present in the marina and numerous activities are proposed on the beach, including a reserved swimming area.

There are many cafes, tapas, and restaurants in the harbor, catering for all tastes, making it a pleasant spot to relax and to enjoy the beach. Some of the more notable are El Raco del Mariner (specializing in local seafood), Port Nautic, Suau and Cantina Marina Seca. Café del Mar, the most prestigious brand in the world in creating Beach Clubs and music Chill Out, is consolidating its presence in Barcelona with a new club in Port Forum. The opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017 with an eye on next spring-summer season. The space, with more than 4,000m2, will be the world's largest club of its kind. The club will have 4 floors including a restaurant, a pool club with a swimming pool, a nightclub and a large upper terrace for events.

An ATM, a laundry service and parking space for cars are also available.
Diagonal Mar Shopping Centre is located 8 minutes’ walk from the marina. The centre includes a huge supermarket (El Campo), fashion boutiques, hair and beauty salons, a pharmacy, restaurants to suit all tastes, a multiplex cinema and an entertainment centre.

The beautiful Playa de Sant Adria Beach is five minutes walk from the marina. The beach is cleaned daily, the water is crystal clear and free beach showers and public toilets are available.

Jetski and electric bikes are also available to rent, with special rates for guests aboard Double Infinity.

From July to the end of September 'Las Golondrinas' boat tours are available from the marina. The boat tours are a great way to see the Barcelona skyline and beautiful beaches. The tour ends up at the main port in the heart of Barcelona right next to the Plaza de Colon (Christopher Columbus Monument) where the city's main artery - Las Ramblas, starts.

The floating boutique hotel is moored at a dock right next to El Forum Beach and close to numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The CCIB Congress and Exhibition Centre is also within easy walking distance. We are only 10 minutes by Metro to the centre of Barcelona. Barcelona Airport is 18 km away and a taxi is very reasonable.
Here is how to get to/from the Boatel in more detail:
Taxi (easiest and quickest option)
A taxi is the easiest and fastest way to get to/from the ‘Double Infinity’ in Port Forum Marina. Taxis from Barcelona International Airport are available 24 hours and take about 25 minutes (depending on traffic). The price is around 35€ from Terminal 2 and 40€ from Terminal 1. The taxi area is located on the ground floor (floor 0) in T1 and just outside the terminal T2B, in Terminal 2.
Regular taxis can take up to 4 passengers and there are larger taxis for 5-6 passengers with a surcharge of 3,10 €. If you need one just ask the taxi marshal and he'll arrange it for you. Other common surcharges include 1€ for each suitcase larger than 55 x 35 x 35cm and 3,10€ airport fee. As for the payment, today many taxis accept credit card but the main payment method is still cash so have some with you (Euros only), also remember that the driver is obligated to give change only from a 20€ note.
Airport Bus
The special airport bus is called Aerobús. It's a fairly fast and inexpensive way to get to the city centre. The price is 5,90€ one way or 10,20€ for a return ticket (valid for only 15 days). You can buy the tickets online, from a ticket vending machine (Visa or MasterCard), or from the driver (cash only, change is limited to 20€).
Each terminal has its own bus line. T1 is served by the A1 bus (most of the day: every 5 minutes, early morning and night every 10 minutes). T2 is served by the A2 bus (most of the day: every 10 minutes, early morning and night every 20 minutes). Both buses have only 4 stops from the airport (Plaça Espanya, Gran Via/Urgell, Plaça Universitat and Plaça Catalunya) and only 3 pick-up points on the way to the airport (Plaça Catalunya, Sepúlveda-Urgell, and Plaça Espanya). The duration of the trip is about 35 minutes.
From Placa Catalunya you can take a taxi to Port Forum Marina at a cost of about 15€. The other option is to walk (6 minutes) to Urquinaona Metro Station and take Metro Line 4 to Maresme Forum Metro Station. Exiting onto Rambla de Prim, turn right, heading towards the Telefonica Building on the left and Museum Blue on the right, the Marina is about 12 minutes’ walk. Walking between the two buildings, at the top of the small incline turn left and go down the steps to the marina level. Continue straight ahead until the mini roundabout (300m) and turn right. Gate D is about 200m on the right, behind which lies MY ‘Double Infinity’.
Train Airport
Apart from buses, the airport is also served by the Rodalies commuter train. The line is R2 Nord and it is operated by Renfe. The train station is located near T2 opposite T2B and is connected to the terminal by an overhead walkway (entrance at the beginning of T2B, just before T2A, on the 1st floor). From T1 you'll need to take the free shuttle bus that connects the 2 terminals, it's a 10 minutes ride. A single ticket is 4,10€ as in the Rodalies zoning plan the airport is in zone 4, however under the integrated tariff system it is in zone 1 and since Rodalies trains are subjected to that system and you can buy a 1 zone 10 journey T-10 card for 9,95€. The duration of the journey is about 19 minutes to Barcelona Sants train station. For travel to Port Forum Marina you get off at Barcelona-Passeig de Gràcia station (duration 26 minutes) and take the Metro L4 to Maresme Forum Metro Station.
Train Barcelona Central Station (Barcelona Sants)
If arriving in Barcelona by train, then take the Metro Line 4 to Maresme Forum Metro Station. (duration 35 minutes).

Asif Nicholls:
I stayed on the Double Infinity boat in Barcelona with my girlfriend from 30 December to 4 January. I have to say it's the best short break holiday we have ever had. Our bedrooms were fantastic, and the main living area was large and very luxurious. The 3D TV had a great selection of movies which was amazing.
James, the owner and host, made our overall experience truly wonderful. Breakfast was good and our New Year's Dinner was perfect. I highly recommend James and his Boatel. We are definitely going back later this year.
All the best, Asif

Martin Koeb:
We stayed at James's Yacht in Barcelone from june 4th to 8th.
I just wanted to give feedback about the experience we had - which was funtastic!
James is a very good host, attentive without being intrusive. he literally spoiled us.
The boat is squeaky clean and comfortable (including internet!), and even with two small children, we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the evenings.
Highly recommended!

Tapiwa Takawira:
My experience of staying aboard the yacht from 12 to 16 February this year.
Where to start? Firstly James. James is new to the hospitality business, which my friends and I found suprising, because as a host he was great. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his crew. As we got to know James, it became apparent that having lived all over the world and being extremely well travelled, he knew what guests were looking for in terms of accommodation and service.
We were a party of four - two couples. We booked two double cabins, which were suprisingly large with beautiful bathrooms. The yacht is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout and we had access to all areas except the kitchen (for safety, health and hygiene reasons).
We had dinner on the yacht twice. The three courses were delightful and prepared with fresh ingredients. There was a good selectionmof wines, beers and soft drinks. We also tried some cocktails - probably too many on Valentines Night :-)
This was a five star experience and I have recommended it to my family and friends.

In mid of April, my girlfriend and I spent a great week on his yacht.
We got the VIP cabin :-) and it was spacious and the bed very
comfortable. The served breakfast was great with plenty to eat. The
yacht is in a beautiful location with easy access by Metro to all
areas of Barcelona.
James was a first class host and made us feel very comfortable.
We will definitely go back again this year ... I highly recommend
staying on Double Infinity!

The maina at Port Forum has a good security profile. Vehicular access is contolled, the marina is patrolled 24/7 by mobile vehicle, foot and sea patrols. Additionally, access to each berth is controlled by a proximity security card.
