The unit: The apartment is in an old building on the 3eme etage (4th floor in the U.S.). It has an old narrow spiral staircase (no elevator). The building is secured with 2 locked doors, the main entrance and the entrance to the main building. It has a bedroom with its own toilet and shower room, a living room with a sofa bed and a breakfast table. There's a microwave and small kitchen are with a wash sink, a stove and a refrigerator. There's also another toilet and shower room in the living room area. The wired internet connection works great. Note - you need to bring outlet converter.
The location: The building is tucked in a relatively quite residential area. Rue de la Clef is parallel to the main street rue Monge. The metro line 7 is the one that passes in the neighborhood and the closest stop is the Place Monge or the Censier-Daubenton depending on where you're coming from. It's close to major attractions and point of interests e.g., Natural History Museum, Botanic Garden, Arenes de Lutece, Garden of Luxumbourg, Sorbonne University and Pantheon. Latin Quarter and Notre Dame are within walking distance if you love to explore Paris neighborhood on foot. For bars and restaurants, rue Mouffetard is very close or you can also venture at Place de la Contrescarpe at the north-end of rue Lacepede.
The host: Romain is very friendly and responsive to inquiries. You can also easily contact him through AirBnB mail. He was there to help us during checkin and checkout. He makes sure that everything is all right and will take care of any issues.
