Close to the Pawleys Island beaches, and restaurants. You’ll love our beach cabin because of the location which is in a residential neighborhood away from high-rise condos and crowds, yet less than a mile from the beach access and a few blocks from fishing on the marsh. Relax in the hot tub, walk for dinner at the Raw Bar, or grab some groceries at the Lowes Foods (walking distance) and enjoy a meal at home. Short drive to Brookgreen Gardens. Our place is good for couples, or families.
This is a five bedroom beach cabin .8 miles from the nearest beach access point. The fifth bedroom is used as a cool hang out space for the teens, but has a comfy sofa bed. From this bedroom you have direct access to the back patio with hot tub. The cabin was unloved and in shambles, but we have been restoring it to a cozy little place by the sea. As such, those who prefer high rise condos with lots of new stuff and white walls may not enjoy our place. We have left the knotty pine walls and heart pine floors.
The house and kitchen are purposely designed for a low maintenance. The kitchen includes a full sized refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, large double bowl apron sink, cabinets, and small butcher block rolling cart. There is silverware, glasses, and dishes for 12 guest. There are also 3-5 pots and pans, small baking set, manual can opener, a small grill set, and wine bottle opener. Things we do not keep at the cabin are things like gourmet cookware, a lot of extra utensils, and any other optional items.
You will rent and have access to the entire home. The hot tub is not operational at this time :(. Check with me before booking to see if it is available for your stay.

We are a phone call away, and there is a great handyman in town that we call should there be any problems during your stay.

We provide free linen at the beach cabin (others in Myrtle beach charge approx. $200 per week). Having said that, there is one set of linen and blanket/comforter for each bed, and a towel/washcloth provided for each of your guest. We do not leave extras around the house. Additionally, please do not take the linen to the beach or out of the house.
The cabin borders a private wooded lot on the left and in front. We have a partial shared gravel driveway with the neighbor on the right... a friendly former rock and roll drummer with a really loud truck, lol.
- This is a residential neighborhood, please be respectful of neighbors.
- There is a partial shared gravel driveway, but plenty of parking in the private section.
We are a couple of adventurous academics who have lived in America and Europe. We love the quietness of our quirky street which includes new construction, old beach cabins, and even a few 'beach' mobile homes. Our favorite international city is Paris, favorite music.... almost anything, love old mysteries (books, movies, TV), and visiting art museums. While we love a luxury resort occasionally. When traveling we prefer neighborhoods with locals regular folks, and avoid pretense. Our beach cabin reflects this attitude.
