The farm is 10 miles east of Front Royal where you can explore wineries, Shenandoah Park, the river, the Appalachian Trail. Staying in a tree house is the most unique experience. Book yourself an evening and disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the forest. Be prepared for fancy camping and a composting toilet. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and small families. May not be suitable for small children. See also our adorable Cherry Cabin for rent.
This is unique -a camping experience in a treehouse. There are battery operated lights, a gas stove for cooking and one to heat the place, a composting toilet, spring-fed outdoor shower(not heated). We provide water. Bring a cooler and easy foods to enjoy, flashlight or headlamp and shoes or slippers to wear in the treehouse as the trails can be muddy. There is a loft with a mattress perfect for two(we provide linens), we have sleeping pads for any additional guest. We ask our guest to please use BIO-DEGRADABLE PRODUCTS (especially at the shower) during your visit to the treehouse. This includes soap, shampoo, toothpaste.
The property is over 200 acre with lots of trails you are welcome to explore, including one trail that meets up with the Appalachian Trail.

Park at the sign that points you to the Trillium Treehouse. It is a short walk from there. Please do not attempt to drive down the 4wd road to the treehouse! Someone will greet you at the TRAIL HEAD. Someone will be available if any needs arise.

The notch log ladder going up to the loft may be difficult for some people to climb(see photos). Let us know if it is an issue and we can discuss resolutions. This is a treehouse so expect to see bugs. Stinkbugs are an issue in our area and their can sometimes be a lot in the treehouse. There are 3-4 big Anatolian Shepherd dogs that live on the property. They may bark at your car. Keep driving and they will get out of your way. If you stop, they may jump up on your car and scratch it. They are friendly. If you have a fear of dogs, this is not the place for you. The driveway is gravel and some parts are steep. After PARKING AT THE SIGN for the Trillium Treehouse it is a short walk(about 40 yards).
The treehouse house should be left how it was found with everything put back in it's place. Dishes washed and put away. We expect our things should be treated with care. If anything is broken or damaged it must be reported to us no matter how big or small. If you have children please put items out of reach they should not have. Campfires are not to be left unattended and should be completely out when done. No visitors without prior notification and permission. Speed limit on farm road is 10mph.There are several families that live on the property. We would like to maintain a setting of peace and tranquility.
