The Log Cabin is a stunning waterfront at Erowal Bay - sleeping up to 12. It is the perfect family retreat where you can escape city life in a rustic yet beautifully decorated home - a feature of which is the beautiful lounge / hearth with huge fire place!

Please note - The Log Cabin does NOT accept booking more than 6 adults (plus up to 6 children), and does NOT supply sheets and towels. You need to bring your own, or we can arrange a hire service for you. No loud noise after 11pm please!

L'alloggio

Location - The Log Cabin is a waterfront reserve property situated on Naval Parade in Erowal Bay. Erowal Bay lies on St Georges Basin and is a small coastal town with a general store, liquor store and take-away. Only 5 minutes drive from famous Hyams Beach, The Log Cabin provides a relaxing serene location while only being minutes from busy Jervis Bay and Booderee National Park.

Special information  -  This house is suitable for a maximum of 6 adults and 6 children only  .Please also be aware that permanent residents live next door to the property. Respect their quiet and privacy. All intrusively loud noise and music is to cease at 11pm - please.

Key features - The Log Cabin has a fabulous wood fire for the whole family to sit around while enjoying the views of St Georges Basin out the floor to ceiling windows.

Configuration -The Log Cabin is a rustic family home which sleeps 12. You walk into the open kitchen with a dining table for the children. The large living area at the back of the house with main dining table also offers lounges and wood fire place. This cabin style living area looks out to the water of St Georges Basin. At the front of the house is the 1st bedroom with a queen size bed and sun lounge, the 2nd bedroom had a double bed and the bunk room sleeping 6 is also in this area. The bathroom and laundry are both large and well equipped. At the back of the house, leading off the porch is a parents retreat with water views, queen size bed, ensuite and day bed.

Outdoors - there is plenty of room to relax on the back porch while watching the kids play cricket on the waterfront reserve. There is also a picnic bench for you to enjoy evening BBQs on the water's edge. The property has some canoes under the house, andif you use them, you do so totally at your own risk. Please be aware of this.

Heating and Cooling The Log Cabin can be opened up to create a lovely breeze in the summer. The wood fire will keep you cosy warm during winter.

Linen - The Log Cabin does not provide linen. If you would prefer we can direct you to a linen service provider, otherwise the following items should be brought with you; sheets (top and bottom), pillow case, towels, hand towels, bath mats and tea towels.

Parking - there is enough parking for 3 cars in the driveway at The Log Cabin.

Pets - The Log Cabin is not a pet friendly property.

Minimum stay - there is a minimum 2 night stay for all bookings, which changes to 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 7 night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.

Peak changeover day - please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable.

Internet / Wi-Fi access - please be aware that there is no ADSL in Hyams Beach and poor ADSL internet in most other areas of Jervis Bay. As a result, until the NBN is rolled out, none of our houses offer internet access. If a house has internet, you may nonetheless use it with no guarantee of reliability or bandwidth by us or the owner. If you bring an internet dongle with you, the best network is Telstra, followed by Vodafone. Otherwise, use your smart phone only during your stay or go across to Huskisson where various cafes offer free wifi. The Sanctuary Point Public Library and the St Georges Basin Country Club also provide free Wi-Fi.

Our extra rules are as follows:

• If you depart on a Sunday or public holiday, we may give you a 4pm checkout. This will be advised at the time of booking

• whilst we take care to keep all in good condition and working order, nevertheless breakages, outages and malfunctions beyond our control do occur. When this happens, we will rectify a situation as soon as practicable, but do not guarantee or take any further responsibility
• re the security bond held by airbnb for your stay: if you look after the property like your own, respect the peace and quiet of your neighbours, take out the garbage, don’t move furniture, don’t un-cable electronic appliances, only have pets if allowed, and do not get too drunk or rowdy…you should be OK
• please also be honest in reporting damage or breakages, and plan ahead to leave the house and the dirty dishes in a clean and tidy state.

Common sense stuff really, or as your grandmother would say: ‘nice manners’.

This is a beautiful, well presented house. Perfect for a quite weekend away. The position is fantastic with lovely outlook. Perfect garden for sunset and Kangaroo watching.

This house was great for 8 adults and 2 children, weekend getaway. In a quite location, local residents sensitive about noise. If you are planning early nights, this place is great. Only issue is noise restriction after 11 o'clock not even to BBQ outside made it a little 'mothering'. Place was massive, problem with ants however expected in the location. All in all get weekend, appropriately priced.

A really beautiful log cabin camping feel. Check in was seamless and there's good amount of parking in the driveway. No air conditioning but the place was cooled easily by opening windows and using the portable fans.

Fantastic spacious cabin, filled with everything you need - practical or fun (e.g. Cricket equipment, board games). Beautiful setting on the lake. Comfortably hosted a group of 12, would love to return.
