The property is 280m² in total over 3 floors with a private 80m² terrace. It has been beautifully restored to expose the stone walls and beamed ceilings whilst adding all modern comforts.

The 3 1st floor bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms. The 2 ground floor bedrooms share a bathroom.

Maison Théodorit consists of 280 m² of elegantly restored accommodation spread over 3 floors with typical stone walls, beamed ceilings and 80 m² of open view terrace with outdoor shower and also a separate courtyard.

Second floor:
The living areas are on the 2nd floor. A spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished living room with a working stone fireplace that opens onto a stunning, spacious terrace with sun loungers, dining and BBQ facilities. Fully equipped country style kitchen. Separate WC.

First floor:
Three of the bedrooms, the study and laundry room are on the first floor. The master bedroom is very spacious with a super king-size bed, a dressing room and large en-suite bathroom with walk-in rain shower and local stone vanity basin unit and separate shower. The room is peaceful and light with doors leading directly onto a private patio. Bedroom 2 is also very spacious with a bed that can be configured as a king-size double or separate twin beds. There is an en-suite shower enclosure and stone vanity basin unit. Bedroom 3 has a twin beds and an en-suite shower bath and stone vanity basin unit. The study is equipped with a desk, TV, DVDs, books and games. Laundry room and separate WC.

Ground floor:
Beautiful self-contained apartment with its own separate entrance from the street which also communicates internally with the 1st and 2nd floors. The main room has a stunning stone vaulted ceiling and has been furnished as a large open plan living room with a dining area and bedroom. There is a separate twin bedroom, full bathroom and kitchen.

The rental includes private use of the entire 3 floors of the property and 80m2 terrace. The rental includes all house linen, basic supplies, utilities charges (supplement in winter), WiFi internet access, 2 TVs with UK satellite channels, 2 DVD players and full washer/dryer/laundry facilities.

You will be greeted locally by our property manager as we are now based in Australia. I manage all the reservations directly and am available by phone or email to answer any questions.

On arrival, she will show you around the property so you know how everything works and is on hand to deal with any issues during your stay.

Uzès is a beautifully preserved medieval market town on the edge of Provence. The house is in a very quiet area of the town centre, very close to the central Place aux Herbes, on a beautiful cobbled pedestrian street with art galleries as neighbours. It is just a short walk along peaceful cobbled streets to numerous shops, cafés and restaurants, parks, the large outdoor public pool and tennis courts.

There are many local attractions to suit all ages and tastes, ranging from the famous Roman aqueduct called the Pont du Gard, to local wine-tasting in the Rhone & Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Ducal château & cathedral, antique shops/fairs...and for kids, visits to the Haribo sweet factory, kayaking on the local river Gardon & the Bouscarasse Water Park. Uzès is known for its summer dance & classical music programs as well as the traditional festivals with bull-running through the streets. Local facilities are excellent, with an open air public swimming pool in the town & tennis courts, bike hire & great walks/hikes/runs. The local produce is spectacular and there is a wide range of restaurants and bars catering to every taste & budget. There are many interesting shops and boutiques in Uzès...with clothes, home decoration & jewellery well represented. Many of the surrounding villages are very beautiful and only 1 hour away are Mediterranean beaches, the Camargue area and the spectacular gorges and plateaux of the Cevennes & Gorges du Tarn. The famous towns of Avignon, Nimes & Arles are all within 45 minutes of Uzès.

Uzès is easily accessible by air and/or train. The closest airports are Nimes (35 min drive), Montpellier (1H10), Marseille( 1H30) and Nice (3H15). Avignon, Nimes TGV/Eurostar train stations are 30-40 mins drive.

We recommend you hire a car as there is much to visit locally and buses go only between the major towns. We are happy to make suggestions for sight seeing and the best local restaurants.
