I was a bit hesitant to book a place that was advertised by an agency instead of a private individual but the price, location and size were perfect for my family of 7 for a 5 day stay, so I took the chance. It turned out to be a great experience! I communicated primarily with Maja at the agency and she was super helpful. (She even helped us get a vehicle reservation that saved us over 250€ for our large family).
There was a mix-up on the actual house number (23 NOT 24) and I called Maja. She answered promptly and got us on track.
Sandra and her son, Karl, met us outside. Karl lives in a small apt on the property and was super helpful all week long. About the property, it had a private garage for our vehicle, the courtyard was private and we did use the BBQ grill one night which was a treat. The inside of the property was clean, a good mix of modern and traditional, all the towels and bed linens were provided and clean. There were 3 bathrooms. 1 downstairs, 1 upstairs, and 1 in the master bedroom. We didn't know the water heaters had a switch to heat as needed so it took a few cold showers before we figured it out (Switch is by the light switch). The air conditioners worked well and cooled off the house in the heat of the day. wi-fi was fast, down stairs TV had a good choice of English speaking channels, which the kids were happy about. We used the washing machine with no problems. Kitchen has everything we needed to prepare meals. There is a small grocery market just 1 block away. Karl provided us with fresh pressed olive oil from his families olive trees, a box of fresh figs, and a great recommendation for a private sailboat tour. (Which we took and LOVED it). The drive to old town was less than 3km.
Overall, I would recommend it to any large family looking to visit Zadar and if we ever visit again this will be our #1 choice to stay. A special thank you to Karl for really making our stay memorable!
