Descrizione

The most exquisite location. A wide, quiet, tree-lined, safe, friendly lovely block. Two minute walk to everything that is charming about Windsor Terrace. This quaint garden apartment in a traditional limestone.

This is a truly special private apartment in a highly desired location.

It is a clean bright space that opens onto a lush garden. Open layout kitchen with breakfast bar. A surprisingly roomy living room with bright windows. The bedroom is definitely cozy (smallish) but fits a full sized (double) bed and a dresser -- so it's big enough for comfort and privacy. Superbly pristine for your visit.

This apartment is all yours with private front entrance. The garden which is large and lush and has a great patio for lounging is a fully enclosed secluded space. It has a feeling of complete privacy, though it is also accessed by the upstairs neighbors as well (a lovely family!). We just ask that guests exhibit commons courtesy, but please make yourselves at home!

I leave the apartment clean, perfectly prepared and private for you. However, I am always reachable by cell phone -- and will respond quickly to any questions or needs. Please do not hesitate to call/email/text with your questions.

I can't say enough. I raised my children in this amazing area of Brooklyn. It is a small enclave nestled between two historical huge green spaces -- Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery (take the tour!). It is pretty much Park Slope in that it is around the corner and you have access to everything there, but you barely need to leave the few blocks that is Windsor Terrace, because it provides highly rated restaurants, groceries, farmers market, bank, post office, movie theater, etc...And less than a block's walk from this apartment gets you on the F train (15th street station) -- for a day in Manhattan.

F train (15th Street Prospect Park stop). Also G train is accessible on this line.
If you are driving a car, you can find street parking here with relative ease.

Keep in mind this is not a SHARED apartment. It is a private guest one BR apartment. Clean and furnished, but empty -- empty drawers, empty closets (with hangers). You are not living in someone's lived-in home or staying as a roommate in someone's apartment. Therefore, even though I try to provide most essentials in the apartment: clean towels, clean sheets (plus xtra set), pots, pans, coffee maker, utensils, hair dryer, etc. ...and even, shampoo, dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper etc... Please do not expect everything beyond that to always be there -- for instance, there will not always be every condiment and seasoning in the kitchen that you need. If occasionally something is not there that you need or I have run out of it, as much as I try to think of everything and keep necessary items stocked, you will need to go to the store sometimes for some items that you need, but have no fear there are shops everywhere within a block -- it's truly lovely! I apologize if I don't have everything always there, and I hope you can understand this can sometimes be the case. It is not a shared or borrowed apartment and it is not a hotel either. I DO however welcome suggestions about items you think would be a good addition to the apartment, so I can improve my apartment readiness in the future. What you get with this booking is an adorable super clean apartment in a very high-end and convenient neighborhood -- and I try to do my very best with the rest of the details in the apartment. That is what I promise -- wholeheartedly!

Though in a fabulous location and charming, this is not a large apartment, so even though it can accommodate 3 people (a double bed and a sofa-bed) I recommend you check out the floorplan I have provided in the photos so you decide what works for you. Also, I do charge a fee for more than 2 guests.

IMPORTANT: Guests must make contact directly with me. The person who will be staying here must read the description, the house rules and ask me any questions. The booking cannot be made for someone else (parent, relative, friend). The booking must be made by the guest who will be staying.

It is a gas stove. The way to light it is by pushing in on the handle as you turn it so it will ignite. (This is a safety feature of modern gas stoves -- so that gas is not released other than when the stove is lit). Please call/text/email if you have any questions.

Please also read the property description carefully before instant booking so you know exactly what to expect. I encourage you to ask questions about anything if you are unsure. Thanks!

We've stayed for 2 months and just booked 3 more months. Love this place, it's exactly as it is on the pictures. It's comfortable and charming, and we love to look at the squirrels in the backyard in the morning. Sheila is very responsive and helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Would recommend for any kind of stay, short or long, for 1 or 2 people.

Perfect. Sure the subway line is infrequent but the beautiful neighbourhood made up for it. I'd stay here again on a heart beat

Sheila let me know all the details of the space before arriving. We didn't see one another at all during my stay but it was fine. Fantastic location in Brooklyn. Safe neighborhood, near the Subway, restaurants, Prospect Park. When I come to NY and need to be in Brooklyn I would definitely stay here again.

Shelia was a wonderful host! She gave us all the info we needed and more! She filled us in on the neighborhood and fun things to do for Fall. Her place was very clean and we found it had everything we needed. There's also great shopping, groceries, restaurants and a cute pie shop all within a couple blocks. We absolutely loved our time! And Shelia even left us a Pack N Play with sheets because she knew we had our 1-year-old daughter with us. :)

Happy with the apartment, it was a great value. Nice living room with plenty of seating, full kitchen, and backyard was very cute. Didn't mind the small bedroom but the mattress was very old and I had a hard time sleeping on it. Sheila was a great host though, responsive and attentive, and the place was stocked with more than a lot of rentals (seasonings, oil, even an umbrella). If it wasn't for the bed I would rent here again.

Risposta di Sheila:
It is true that it is a great value in a wonderful area -- difficult to find a good price here. The apartment is not very large (cozy I call it), but there is a separate bedroom which is a plus (compared to a studio. The description is extremely clear including a floor plan (I just would like future guests to be sure they can see this for themselves as you could of course before booking). The mattress is actually less than two years old (which is new for a mattress of course), and past reviewers have commented on how comfortable it is, so for future guests they may read your review and others and make their decisions accordingly. Mattresses are very different even when they are new, hard, soft, different thicknesses (this is actually a medium softness and a very expensive thick mattress) -- I am not sure what you are used to or what you could possibly require. Quite frankly your review is puzzling.

I'm a mom and artist. I came to Brooklyn for my BFA at Pratt several decades ago and decided to stay for a while.
